When Michael Lau was commissioned by Nike to design a pair of Air Force 1s as apart of the Nike1World campaign, he came up with a model he nicknamed “Crazy“, getting its inspiration from mental asylums. This unique concept has a few components that tie into the “Crazy” theme including the quilted pattern that makes up the upper along with tally marks at the heel of the sneaker. Other markings have been added to the tongue and on the inside of the sneaker. Kix-Files has one size available for $680.

News of Michael Lau working with Nike 1World broke yesterday with only a promo picture, here’s a look at the actual sneaker. The “Crazy” Air Force 1 features an all white quilted leather upper, a design displayed in the first image of the collaboration. In addition, the tongue, heel and back heel all feature writing with gold stitching being used for the heel. The last time Hong Kong artist Michael Lau and Nike teamed it, it resulted in a super limited edition Dunk Low SB, the two are back together to collaborate under the 1World Project. The Michael Lau’s “Crazy” Air Force 1 will be showcased among other things at the MICHAEL GALLERY in Hong Kong.
