For the launch of their Skateboarding collection, Converse will release the Black & Gold Pack, a package that features the ERX 300 and CTS. The ERX 300 consists of a black, gold, and red colorway that is also made up of a subtle metallic finishes. The second Converse sneaker included in the Black & Gold Pack is the CTS, a more simple looking sneaker that is made sports a classy look. The sneakers are composed of a combination of a solid black upper with perforated leather and gold accents. You can expect the pack to release later this month retailing at $90 and $70 respectively. In 2009, Converse is celebrating its 101st birthday. In celebration of this momentous accomplishment, the Boston, Massachusetts brand is working their timeless Weapon Mid, a technical hoops model initially released in 1986. The Weapon Dual Strap combines the “Y-Bar” ankle supp0rt system, thick midsole, and reinforced toebox (Or elements of old) with a dual-strapped, Reebok Ex-O-Fit-inspired support system above the model’s ankle collar. The city of Wajima is known for their lacquerware and is spotlighted on Converse’s 100th Anniversary Chuck Taylor All Star High. By definition, lacquer is “a clear or coloured varnish that dries by solvent evaporation and often a curing process as well that produces a hard, durable finish.” This design is featured on two All Star Highs available in black with red trim and red with black trim. The Converse x Undefeated Poorman’s Weapon initially surfaced through Vapors Magazine in August, here’s a more in-depth look at the sneaker scheduled to be released soon. As Undefeated releases go, a unique concept and design is almost guaranteed and the same can be said with the Poorman’s Weapon. Utilizing vintage military bomber jackets, the shoe features a nylon upper with velcro logos and a manila tag consisting of the two brands logos. The Air Jordan Defining Moments Package (DMP) was definitely one of the best sneaker packages to ever release. The DMP consisted of the Air Jordan 6 (VI) DMP and the Air Jordan 11 (XI) DMP, two of the most sought after Air Jordan sneakers upto date. What most people are not aware of is the fact that Jordan Brand was going to make the DMP package contain three pairs of sneakers and retail at $500. The third sneaker that was planned to release was the Converse Pro Leather All-Star sample that is shown above. There was an extremely limited quantity of the Converse samples produced and they were all never made available to the public. This Converse Pro Leather All-Star features a white and gold colorway which is highlighted by the “23″ on the heel in Carolina Blue and the image of Michael Jordan making the game winning shot to win his first NCAA championship ever on the heel as well. Making this pair even more special is the fact that Michael Jordan himself wore the Converse Pro Leather All-Stars throughout his college career with the North Carolina Tarheels. Last September, the Wood Wood x Converse 1HUND(RED) Chuck Taylor was previewed and is close to being released. Converse calls on Danish brand Wood Wood to design an All Star High for the 1HUND(RED) collection. Their version of the classic model is outfitted in a light grey suede and highlights of dark grey on the toe and on the midsole. Commemorating the campaign is a red eyelet near the tongue. Release is scheduled for this Friday at DQM.
