Yesterday SneakerFiles showed you guys a teaser video between Converse and graphic artist Parra for their up coming collab. Their ‘Cherries For A Good Cause’ is part of the (RED) campaign, which was made to help raise awareness of AIDS in the world. Today we got pics of a pair of Chuck Taylor highs from the collection, this pair of Chucks features a light brown suede and graphics of a pair of cherries with arms and legs on its upper. Now if you saw the teaser video you would understand the humanoid ”cherry guy”. The Parra Chuck Taylor highs are limited and will only be sold at select Converse retailers, but remember this is all for a good cause.

Graphic artist Parra and Converse released a teaser video for their up coming collabration, ‘Paint The Town’ (RED) project. With their last collab releasing last year, Parra and Converse are no strangers to each other. Parra also did collabs with Nike on the Nike Air Max 95 ‘Running Man/Parra’ and the Nike Air Maxim 1 ‘Parra’ that dropped back in March. With World AIDS day upon us, many of us could, might, and should take a second to learn about the spread of AIDS and ways to prevent the virus’ spread. Yesterday, we saw Nike take a step in aiding the fight against AIDS and campaign for AIDS awareness by announcing that today it would release the (NIKE) Red laces. Now it’s time to shift the attention back to shoes- pictured here is a sneak peek of yet another collaboration that will also be a part of the RED campaign. The Converse skateboarding line has teamed up with skateboarder Anthony Pappalardo on this pair of low-top skateboarding sneakers to add to what is truly an incredible array of shoes that are part of the RED campaign. This sneaker seems tried and tested. For those of you who like the touches on this shoe- such as the white contrast stitching, heart on the heel and single first red shoe lace eyelet- hopefully the test was passed with flying colors. Last week we were able to show you an all-white Chuck Taylor All Star that’s a part of the very worthwhile campaign against AIDS in Africa. Now there’s a comparable Chuck Taylor, except this one comes in a red leather upper inspired by motorcycle jacket designs. The shoe comes with a quilted lining, even actual zips and snaps that drive home the motorcycle jacket theme even more. Complete with a white sole and red shoe laces, this Chuck Taylor “Leather Jacket” will retail for $200 and release on December 1st, 2009 from Converse (RED) stores in London, San Francisco, and New York City. Ten percent of total net sales will go towards the Global Fund that aims to eliminate AIDS in Africa as well as help make people much more conscious about its threat. Again, Converse offers you another great way to get involved and look stylish while doing so.

Last month, we saw Blends join the 1HUND(RED) campaign for Aids relief in Africa with a pair of the Converse One Star. Now, United Bamboo lends its creative juices and applies them to the Chuck Taylor All Star pictured here in a different look than we’re used to. The shoe comes with an embroidered pattern throughout the entire upper, a suede toe cap, and red stripe near the ankle that bares the United Bamboo brand name. These will drop via honeyee TOMORROW, Friday the 13th.

This time around, a complementary Chuck Taylor in a white canvas upper has also dropped in recognition of the rapper’s career and success. Reportedly, what is wrapped around the shoe are thoughts, among them some political, from Lupe himself. And to top it all off, the shoe comes with an icy (see-through) sole. Tomorrow, August 29th, 2009, the Jack Purcell V3 will launch in what is to be the culmination of a lot of work. Ian Ginoza is a part of Converse 1Hund(RED)’s team of artists that uses art as a way of transcending barriers and calling attention to the bigger struggles we face as a people. Originally a graphic designer, Ian soon became a big fan of sneakers as well as an entrepreneur. Having founded Kicks Hawaii, Ian collaborated with Nike on the now famous Nike Dunk SB “Hawaii.” And in 2007 he was a part of two collaboration debuts that were in support of Converse (PRODUCT) RED. He now spends his days working on what has become the brand’s most limited product.

This particular release highlights specifically the fight against AIDS in Africa. Inspired by a single, white blood cell, Ian states, “It’s about a clean slate–something completely pure.” He also quite honestly “just wanted to make something hopeful.” Consisting of a leather upper with vintage texturing, this premium Jack Purcell 3 strap shoe is all ready to go on sale. It also includes Epi leather and rubber outsoles.
