We know Converse is rather adept at churning out sneaker designs, especially when it comes to the Chuck Taylor. However, the rate at which we’ve seen new colorways of said Converse classic silhouette is alarming even for them. After taking a look at the City Collection yesterday, today we shift our focus to the “moto leather jacket” alternative pictured here. The motorcycle jacket cues are seen very clearly with the black leather upper, zipper style accents along the shoe laces and even different paneling/stitching than we’re used to seeing on the Chuck Taylor. Available now, these are retailing for a manageable $70.

One of America’s favorite past times, Independence Day, is right around the corner. Converse will also celebrate and share the new Chuck Taylor Americana Collection. In the Converse Americana Collection is the infamous Chuck Taylor All Stars in highs and lows. The low tops from the Americana Collection resemble that of picnic table print in red/white and black/white. The highs display the American flag, just altered by placement. Good news is, all 4 pairs are available now including sizes for the whole family, just in time for July 4th.

An all-time classic video game, Super Mario Bros have another installment in their collaboration with Converse on the Chuck Taylor Hi. Two of the Super Mario Bros x Converse Chuck Taylor Hi we showed you awhile back, but making its first debut is the Chuck Taylor Hi featuring Level 1 on the side panel and the last level, the fight against King Koopa.

The two Converse Chuck Taylor Hi x Super Mario Bros with all over Mario print will release July 2011. The second two taking levels from the game will release August 2011. More pictures below.

The Chuck Taylor is not iconic to Converse, but to sneakerheads and basketball. Although you can still purchase your basic Chuck Taylor’s, Converse is offering two new Premium models in navy and red. Known as the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Premium, due to the stars and stripes on the sockliner and smooth premium leather. Coming soon to Converse retailers, but available now at Dunk.

In August we saw a very nice pair of Chuck Taylor highs that was the result of a teaming up between Parra and Converse and is a part of the RED campaign. And for the end of this year sneakerheads are being treated to another special Chuck Taylor high. The Chuck Taylor high pictured here comes in “enamel” blue patent leather and a Vibram outsole that makes this design more wearable in cold and/or wet surroundings. These will see a Japan release from the Converse Addict line starting December 10th.

Towards the end of September we showed you a brown Converse Chuck Taylor high D-Ring, which boasts both suede and leather along the upper and is designed for the winter season. Now we’ve come across a black/anthracite version of the same sneaker design for those of you who prefer black or for those of you who need both colorways in order to have more than one option. You can find these at select online and in-store Converse retailers now.

Towards the end of last month we showed you a Chuck Taylor high from Converse that sported a black/parchment colorway that would actually look good in any season. Our readers generally liked the design, and Converse is back at us with another one. Pictured here is the “Sweatshirt” Converse Chuck Taylor high whose upper is made of (grey) material you might see on a sweater. While the toe cap and sole are predominantly white, there is a stripe of black and a stripe of red towards the bottom of the shoe. You can purchase these now from select Converse retailers.
