The Converse Defcon touches down at Eastbay, ready for on-court performance.

With a mixture of synthetics and patent leather uppers strength and durability are key aspects of the Defcon. A perforated midfoot cage wraps the foot and keeps it in place along with the additional heel counter. Full length Phylon makes its way onto the midsole while EVA foam lining and CBT (Converse Balls Tech) gives you that great impact protection and energy return.

Converse is taking things back with the release of the Converse Pro Leather Mid. The classic silhouette made famous by some of the greatest NBA Hall of Famers will return this Fall in three great colorways. While we don’t expect anyone to be rocking these on court in this day and age, casual wearers should be able to put these to good use.

Converse SB has been pumping out some great silhouettes with classic Cons attributes.

The newly released Anthony Pappalardo & Nick Trapasso Pro Models are now hitting Cons retailers including online retailer Shelta. Mustard yellow suede engulfs the entire upper on the Pappalardo Pro Model which also features black hits, metal eyelets and a white cupsole. Trapasso’s Pro Model is wrapped in grey suede upper with mesh ventilated side panels. Yellow hit are seen briefly with white leather branding and cupsole.

As stated above, both models are now hitting Converse SB accounts or you can hit up Shelta if you can’t find them in your area.

After showing you a navy blue “leather jacket” Converse Chuck Taylor All Star, we now bring you a look at some skateboarding models from the Spring 2011 connection from the CONS and Converse Skateboarding lines. A part of all the offerings will be the Trapasso mid (in purple suede), the Sea Star, the Pappalardo, the CTS Ox (all in an assortment of different colorways), and a boat shoe. In December of last year we brought out readers a good look at a CONS Pappalardo Pro set to release in a blue suede upper with red and white accents throughout. Skateboarder Anthony Pappalardo and the CONS team got a lot of credit for their design of the Pappalardo Pro, and now it’s time to show you a new colorway. The CONS Pappalardo Pro pictured here is nicknamed the “Cranberry,” in obvious allusion to the cranberry red suede upper this pair comes in. With bronze eyelets and other white accents, this shoe is also finished off with the Chuck Taylor outsole we’ve more than used to seeing by now. Come April 1st, this CONS Pappalardo Pro will be available for purchase from select, CONS participating retailers.

Yesterday we found a very low-key sneak peek of a collaborative effort between professional skateboarder Anthony Pappalardo and the CONS team. Now, we have not only a better, clearer shot at the result of said collaboration, we also have a little more information. As you can see from the picture provided, this Pappalardo Pro comes with a navy blue suede upper (although the dark sneak peek picture made it look black), with red on the very top pair of shoe lace eyelets, the logos, and the single stripe that runs around the entire shoe between the upper and sole. The pro skater’s last name and a star both come in white and can be found on the mid panels. This product will not only debut in Spring 2010, it will do so as the first official skateboarding shoe of the PRODUCT (RED) campaign for AIDS awareness. Converse Japan continues to rock-and-shock the overseas market with bizarre takes on the brand’s iconic canvas, the Chuck Taylor. The Boston, Massachusetts based company is set to drop versions of the CT in patent leather, polka dots, and a classic geometric pattern.
