A Bathing Ape and Mark McNairy collaborate to create two new silhouettes; a chukka as well as a wingtip. Although, I wouldn’t go paint balling in these $400+ BAPE’s, the camouflage on these is really unique and appealing and the contrasting red brick soles allow these to really pop. The Vans Chukka Low was recently fitted with a series of ‘team’ colorways, as riders Alex Olson, Chima Ferguson, Keegan Sauder, and Chris Pfanner were each given a signature layout. Three of the models feature two-tone pallets and contrast lacing, and appear to be sporting suede uppers. The fourth sneaker’s upper takes the form of a metallic silver leather material. Once again, Onitsuka Tiger takes some classic flavor and puts a modern touch on it. The latest project is the Onitsuka Tiger Tsunahiki, which comes in a black/black colorway. The Tsunahiki combines black leather and nubuck on the upper to create a Chukka-style shoe with a moccasin feel. The black outsole was taken from Onitsuka’s Tug of War model from 1982.  Red accents are found on the tongue tag and stitching, which nicely adds some flavor to the dark shoe. It’s available now for almost $150 online overseas.

London based footwork brand, F-Troupe, presents us with their latest Quilted Chukka just in time for the start of fall. Featuring woven suede uppers, the model takes the classic look of the chukka boot and turns it upside down with elaborate material patterning. Everything is tied together by the complementing leather piping and heel panels. Available in both beige and light brown, you can find the unique boot at Journal Standard and other sneaker boutiques.

Jordan Brand recently unveiled this chocolate brown premium leather version of the Campus Chukka. The casual shoe’s vulcanized midsole, textured middle, and gum accents imbue a sophisticated vibe that mirror MJ’s personality post-retirement. “Since 1985″ is emblazoned on the shoe’s heel, a testament to how far (and for how long) Jordan Brand has been making it happen. The Jordan Campus Chukka in chocolate brown will be available in the coming weeks for $110.

Luxury brand Lanvin has earned worldwide recognition thanks to its use of luxury materials, ultramodern design, and a little help from first lady Michelle Obama. The company recently introduced a timeless Grey Flannel Chukka with an elegantly cut upper black seam overalys. A spare white bottom adds height to the casual shoe. The newest pack of sneakers from the California skate brand, Vans, is based off of a material not usually found on footwear—wool. This Vans Vault Wool Collection is composed of four models: Vans Slip-On, Sk8 High, Old Skool, and Chukka Boot. All four silhouettes feature dark premium leather, suede, and wool uppers accented by a cream sole.
