Once again, Onitsuka Tiger takes some classic flavor and puts a modern touch on it. The latest project is the Onitsuka Tiger Tsunahiki, which comes in a black/black colorway. The Tsunahiki combines black leather and nubuck on the upper to create a Chukka-style shoe with a moccasin feel. The black outsole was taken from Onitsuka’s Tug of War model from 1982.  Red accents are found on the tongue tag and stitching, which nicely adds some flavor to the dark shoe. It’s available now for almost $150 online overseas.

Jordan Brand recently unveiled this chocolate brown premium leather version of the Campus Chukka. The casual shoe’s vulcanized midsole, textured middle, and gum accents imbue a sophisticated vibe that mirror MJ’s personality post-retirement. “Since 1985″ is emblazoned on the shoe’s heel, a testament to how far (and for how long) Jordan Brand has been making it happen. Japanese brand Deluxe has collaborated with Vans in the past to create a new colorway of the Sk8 High, and Deluxe is now teaming up with the California skate brand to design this new style of the Chukka. This pair yields a tonal navy blue upper which comes in the form of the suede toebox and leather rear. Also found on this sneaker is the typical Vans white vulcanized sole, a tan strip of leather on the rear, and some of the collaboration information on the tongue. The Deluxe x Vans Chukka is expected to release in November 2009.

We recently saw a Vans collaboration with R. Crumb, and today we have our first look at the products of a recent collaboration between Vans Vault and Robert Williams, an American artist, to create this pack composed of a Vans Chukka and a Vans Era. Both sneakers from this pack feature some of Williams’ artwork on the canvas upper which is accented by a black toebox, white midsole, and Williams’ signature on the rear of the midsole. The Robert Williams x Vans Vault Pack will be available for purchase in July 2009.
