Yesterday evening, the 2009 BET Awards hosted by Jamie Foxx were held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Though there were many emotional moments throughout the show, including the grand tribute to Michael Jackson, the ‘09 BET Awards hosted various celebrities that were spotted wearing the hottest sneakers currently available. Though Kanye West has his own signature sneaker, he decided to switch it up and sport a pair of Timberlands instead, while Carmelo Anthony stayed true to his brand and rocked an Air Jordan 1. Ron Artest also left his own K1x sneakers behind, and wore some Air Jordans. Some other key note sneaker choices include Soulja Boy’s Creative Recreations, Sean Paul’s Supras, and the New Boys’ Nike Blazers. Be sure to check out the all the pictures after the jump.

Over the past few weeks, we have unrolled the Sneaker Files Celebrity Shoe Sightings series. Welcome to the Air Jordan Edition!
Our last two Celebrity Shoe Sighting posts focused on Converse and New Balance. This time we feature the biggest name inspired by the greatest game. There appears to be a great history of Air Jordans appearing on the feet of celebrities. It started when Spike Lee gave the brand some free product placement in his movies. Nowadays, celebrities are photographed wearing Air Jordan sneakers both on-screen and off. From Will Smith to Seinfeld, John ‘King Ralph’ Goodman to Fred Savage (Wonder Years); the supporters of Jordan Brand are well diversified. There are some great pictures after the break.
