After previewing the Nike Basketball Christmas Pack, more readers are amp’d for this holiday season’s releases ever more. Jordan Brand tapped into the holidays with the Jordan Melo M8 ‘Christmas’.

We finally get our wishes with the NBA coming back on Christmas Day this year with a few watch-worthy season openers and the comeback of our favorite players. On top of that, we are also blessed with the ‘Christmas’ pack, which feature this years top releases.

Among those releases are 5 of the top sigs this year:

The Jordan Melo M8 ‘Taxi’ might be dropping with a partner this holiday season. With the Knicks kicking off their shortened schedule against the Celtics on Christmas Day, Melo might be sporting this next M8 mock-up.

This Jordan Melo M8 might be the Christmas shoe for Melo, which features an all green upper, with combinations of nubuck, Flywire and patent leather. The shoe is accented with orange laces, air bag and tongue.

These are already at HOH Barcelona and might be dropping in US retailers this coming season. Stay tuned.

Dropping this winter is another “Big Apple”-inspired colorway of the Air Jordan Melo M8.

Based on the cabs that clog the Manhattan streets, this “Taxi” M8 sports an upper dominated by yellow patent leather alongside black Flywire paneling and black nubuck.  This kicks are finished off with yellow laces and hits of white on the branding, lining, and outsole.

Look for these to drop this holiday season for the usual $135.

Those in the NYC area listen up: Jordan Brand has another special event planned for you this weekend.

As reported earlier today, Spike Lee will be on hand Saturday at FootAction to autograph the brand new “NY Knicks” Spiz’ikes.  However, beginning tomorrow, Jordan Brand will have eight pairs of Spike Lee-autographed Spiz’ikes and eight pairs of Carmelo Anthony-signed Melo M8s at eight different NYC locations.  All you have to do is follow @Jumpman23 on twitter for clues on where the shoes will be.  The first person to find the Jordan Brand representative at the spot (they’ll be wearing a Melo jersey and headband) will win BOTH pairs of autographed kicks, each in a limited edition box.

The Jordan Melo M8 is one of the biggest releases in Jordan Brand Basketball this year in terms of brand new footwear. The M8 released recently at stores everywhere in various colorways including the ‘Cool Gray’ colorway.

Jordan Brand pokes a little fun at the NBA lockout in their most recent commercial, playing off of the “Basketball Never Stops” idea.

Despite the lack of a professional season, the lockout can’t keep Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul, and Carmelo Anthony from shooting some hoops and sharpening their skills.  Apparently, the three stars have been playing whenever and wherever, with whomever, they can.  The Jumpman stars are seen playing in everything from the Miami Kiwanis Club League to the NOLA Inter-Parish League and even a Williamsburg pick-up game before competing against one another in Beijing.

As the spot reminds us, “Love the game, no matter what”.
