Vans is “switching” it up with the Vans Switchback as part of the Vans California Collection Holiday 2009. This Vans boot isn’t just like the Cup versions of the Vans Chukka or Vans Sk8-Hi. This new boot model uses suede or coated canvas uppers to really make this a sturdy boot. Coming in a brown and grey colorway, both shoes come with two sets of tubed and flat laces. The brown model has a white midsole whereas the other has a brown one, making these shoes contrast well. The Vans logo is found on the tongue tag to finish off these shoes which are set to release at Vans retailers this October.

Earlier today, we featured the Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4) – Duke Player Exclusives (PE), and now we are seeing a preview of a new Nike ZKIV made for another university with an elite basketball program. This cardinal and gold colorway is made exclusively for the athletes over at the University of Southern California to rock while attempting to make a run during March Madness. This pair yields the typical Trojans’ colorway of cardinal, gold, and white. Most of the sneaker is coated in cardinal while the swoosh is in gold and the midsole and toebox are in white. We here at Sneaker Files love women!(Particularly those of the the thick Latina persuasion…ehh, we love all of you guys!) We also dig ladies who have an eye for compelling footwear, which is exactly what the California SE is from PUMA. Toned up in beige, the shoe is distinguished by a chocolate stripe, white midsole, gum bottom, red, yellow, green and cocoa accents. The shoe’s heel panel is reinforced with a beautiful mulilayred micromesh. We’re not sure as to when these will release, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated when new information surfaces.
