Set to release alongside the Portland Trailblazers Air Jordan Six Rings featured earlier today are the two pairs of Air Jordan I (1) Low Phats shown above. Though both pairs are inspired by the Portland Trailblazers, they are essentially the exact opposites of one another. The “away” colorway features a black base with a black patent leather toecap, a white swoosh, and a red jumpman logo on the tongue. The “home” colorway yields a white leather upper accented by a black swoosh with red stitching and a silver jumpman logo on the tongue. Both colorways include red midsoles and white outsoles. The newest sneaker set to drop from the Air Jordan Six Rings series is the Portland Trailblazers inspired pair seen above. Featuring a predominately white upper with black and red lasering, this pair obviously takes inspiration from the jerseys of the Trailblazers. Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls defeated the Blazers en route to their 1992 NBA Championship and Jordan Brand is honoring the victory by releasing this colorway of the Six Rings. Earlier this month, we showcased the Air Jordan “Trailblazers” Theme Releases which was a pack composed of three sneakers inspired by the Portland Trailblazers. The aforementioned preview only included a small depiction of what the sneakers looked like and now we are getting a detailed look at what one of the Air Jordan I (1) Low Phat’s will yield. Featuring a white upper accented by a black swoosh and a varsity red midsole, this pair has one of the cleanest colorways of the AJ 1 Low Phat we have to seen up to now. Jordan Brand is celebrating the Los Angeles Lakers and Portland Trail Blazers with unique sets of footwear dedicated to each organization’s history and color scheme. The Lakers pack features a white/purple/yellow iteration of the heterogeneous Air Jordan Six Rings and black/white/purple/yellow variatons of the skate-friendly Air Jordan I (1) Phat. The LA triumvirate will hit stores on January 31, 2009. The Blazers pack also offers a pair of the Six Rings and two pairs of the Phat, but in white/black/red hues to match-up with the Blazers’ uniforms. The Trailblazers pairs will hit on February 14, 2009. The Lakers and Blazers Air Jordan Six Rings will be priced at an exorbiant $160, while all four pairs of the AJ1 Phat can be had for $95.
