The folks over at 21 Mercer have stocked a few more models that have been given the vintage treatment, with the arrival of two ’straight out of your favorite 80’s movie’ Blazer High colorways. Featuring an off-white softened leather upper and pre-yellowed midsole, the vintage effect feels more authentic than in some previous efforts because of the classic OG-esque color schemes. Could Nike SB be looking at revisiting their “Horror Pack” from back in 2007? This blood splattered Blazer High model could be a good indication, featuring a stained upper similar to that of the highly anticipated (but never released) “Freddy Kruger SB Dunk Low”. Featuring an off-white toe box and grey Swoosh, the colorway does little to mask the eerie nature of its splattered upper, but only time will tell if the release is part of a bigger collection. Word has it that this Blazer High model will be hitting Nike SB retailers before the year is out, but we’ll keep you up to speed with any official news.

Nike embraces tattoo-style graphics for the embellishment of a new model of their classic Blazer High. Of the sneaker’s many features, one thing that’s been removed entirely from the innerside of the shoe is the trademark Nike Swoosh  — a rare branding reduction — in order to make room for the inking details. To compliment the dark “Blazer: Since 1972″ text, the model features a Beet colored Swoosh (on the outerside), outsole, and heel tab. You can pick up the custom-esque model from FinishLine now.

On top of the handful of  Blazer High Velcro colorways scheduled to release next year, Nike will also be unleashing a trio of solid summertime Blazer High models. Featuring two clean colorways of Navy/Red/White and White/Red, the collection is capped off with a rather unusual Metallic/Textile model. Although the geometric print and strange splitting of the upper is a bit unorthodox for a shoe with such ‘classic’ appeal, the flashy two-tone sneaker is sure to turn heads. Look for all three Blazer High colorways — along with their Velcro counterparts — to hit Nike retailers in the Summer of 2010.

Nike’s timeless Blazer model will continue to see syndication, as a round of Velcro-ridden models are set to release next year. Following the example of the red Nike Sportswear Blazer AC High we saw last week, the sneaker utilizes five Velcro straps instead of a typical lace-up system. Featuring colorways in two shades of blue, and black, the three sneakers share similar white midsoles and color accented outsoles. Velcro fanatics and lazy sneakerheads alike can look forward to the three colorways hitting Nike retailers in time for Summer 2010.

After seeing a lot of work at the start of the year, the color Freshwater has graced us with its presence again on this latest Blazer High colorway. Best known for accenting the Air Griffey Max 1, the color tends to excite people — in this instance, providing a bright midsole to go along with an otherwise quiet model. Once eyes are finally torn away from the bottom of the shoe, the nubuck toe box and black divot impression uppers really complete the colorway’s one-two punch. At the beginning of August you should be seeing these Nike Blazer Highs in Dark Grey/Baltic Blue slowing making their way to shelves. The dark grey upper, white midsole, and baltic blue accents on the tongue, sole, and heel tab make for a very simple but appealing shoe. For a retail price of $78.00 USD these are a great value for a nice colorway. If your local retailer doesn’t have these on shelves now expect to see these within the next week or so.
