The Nike Air Flightposite One (1) is definitely one of the most creatively designed basketball sneakers ever, but most sneakerheads don’t associate the pair with women’s fashion. The most likely reason for this is because of the fact that not many womens colorways of the Air Flightposite 1 have actually released over the years. Nike has been striving to give both genders what they desire as of late and has decided to release this black and pink colorway for the ladies. Featuring a black ‘posite upper with bright pink accents, this pair yields an overall simple composition, but the feminine touch gives it the needed color. After seeing this pair of Nike Dunk Low’s, you have to assume that the design team over at Nike must be passionate fans of the game “Hungry Hungry Hippos.” Unique to say the least, this is definitely a colorway that steps away from what we have been seeing in terms of Dunk colorways. Right at the core of this pair, the insole features a flashy hippo graphic. Also, this pair yields a black toe box, pink swoosh, and white laces riding on top of a black speckled midsole. However, the eye catching feature of this shoe is the safari print that begins above the heel and extends all the way to front of this sneaker. Continuing with Nike’s latest obsession with the color black, Nike is set to release three new models with a full black colorway. Lately, we have seen the Nike Sportswear Lunar Racer – Black Collection and the Nike Sportswear Blackout Collection which both feature sneakers fully coated in black. These three pairs of black sneakers include the Nike Blazer High, the Nike Dunk High, and the Nike Air Force 1 Low. The Nike Blazer High is decked out in black from head to toe. The Nike Dunk High features a black upper, but also includes a clear sole and red accents. The last model of this installment, the Nike Air Force 1 Low, also yields a black upper, but a little color is added to this pair through the use of a gum sole. There is no word on an exact release date yet, but you can buy your pair today at A.R.C. in New York.

Spring 2009 will yield many interesting releases for all types of sneaker aficionados. Nike will be doing their fair share in ‘09 to give the consumer what they want ranging from the Nike Air Max series all the way to the Nike Basketball line. The Nike Air Max 1 shown above is set to release in the early months of spring 2009 and it sports a very simple, yet clean look. Utilizing a simple white and black colorway is always the safe approach to designing a color scheme and in many cases ends up looking much better than its multicolored counterparts.
