The Nike Air Penny III (3) – Black / Black – Varsity Royal released at the end of last year and it is now time for the white based colorway of the classic Air Penny III to release. Featuring a white leather base with blue and black accents seen on the midsole, upper, and inner lining, this pair is extremely reminiscent of the Orlando Magic’s home jerseys. Also coming with the Air Penny logo and a subtle white swoosh on the heel, the classic sneaker is brought back in ‘09, and if this pair is a sign of what is come, the future looks quite promising. Every year, Nike celebrates Black History Month with the release of a new sneaker honoring the important month. This year’s base model is the Nike Air Force 1 (One) and it features a black, red, and green upper. Much thought and effort went into designing this pair by Nike and it is quite evident through the lasered graphic on the rear as well as the marble midsole which is meant to represent the courtrooms of the U.S. Supreme Court where many monumentous civil rights battles were fought. This pair also yields a red inner lining, red and green stitching, and a black midsole. The newest Nike Vandal Low to release is the black and white pair shown above. This pair has quite a simple composition and as previously mentioned, it only includes two colors—black and white. Featuring a black upper accented by white stripes and a white swoosh, this pair’s simple color scheme gives it the clean and neat look we are used to seeing from Nike. There were two extremely limited releases of the Air Jordan XX3 (23) last year and both sneakers came with wooden shoe trees. Could including a wooden shoe tree be Jordan Brand’s way of informing their fans of an upcoming limited release? If so, expect this Air Jordan 2009 to be sold out within minutes. Featuring patent and high-quality performance leathers, this pair yields a fairly simple black on black color scheme. Also including Articulated Propulsion Technology and an ecologically-friendly “Considered” design approach, this sneaker combines style with effectiveness. The Air Jordan Fusion V (5) series was released in early 2008, but we are now getting a first look at a sample pair that never made it to store shelves. Featuring a black base with red stitching and accents, most sneakerheads deem it a godsend that this pair was never released. It appears as though the upper was composed of both leather and suede and even included red paint behind the black mesh net on the side. Contrasting with the black Air Force 1 midsole, this pair also yields a white “sunburst” design from the Air Jordan V (5). Back in 2000 before the Air Jordan 6 (VI) Retro – Black/Deep Infrared was released, many sneakerheads may remember that a sample image was seen which depicted certain midsole parts of the sneaker as infrared instead of black. This little deviation from the original sneaker had collectors going crazy and throwing fits. Jordan Brand recognized what the consumers wanted and eventually ended up releasing a product more in line with the Original Air Jordan 6 Infrared. Though at that time the sample was seen as nothing special, it is now available on the ‘Bay for a current bid of over $5,000.

The Nike Air Flightposite One (1) is definitely one of the most creatively designed basketball sneakers ever, but most sneakerheads don’t associate the pair with women’s fashion. The most likely reason for this is because of the fact that not many womens colorways of the Air Flightposite 1 have actually released over the years. Nike has been striving to give both genders what they desire as of late and has decided to release this black and pink colorway for the ladies. Featuring a black ‘posite upper with bright pink accents, this pair yields an overall simple composition, but the feminine touch gives it the needed color.
