With tomorrow marking Halloween, we conclude our Best Halloween Shoes posts with Nike’s Dunk High Premium Glow In The Dark coming in at the number one spot. The glow in the dark feature is nothing new to the sneaker scene, but Nike takes this concept to the next level by applying it to the upper. When dark, the entire upper glows making this release very unique and innovative. These released back in 2006 and have become harder and harder to find as the years pass, but they do pop up every now and then.

One of the more playful sneakers in our Best Halloween Shoes takes the 2nd position. The Papa Bear Dunk High SB was released in 2006 in a collaboration with Medicom which also featured the Mama Bear Dunk Mid SB and Baby Bear Dunk Low SB in the 3 Bears Pack. The Papa Bear Dunk High is made up of fur and leather on upper with a light  umber and hot house color-way. On the inside of the sneaker you can find the Bearbrick version of this sneaker and special packaging for the inside of the box. Good luck finding these elsewhere because they immediately sold out upon release.

Although the Day of The Dead Nike SB Dunk Low Premiums are not typically associated with Halloween, they were released around the time of the October holiday. These sneakers were designed to commemorate the holiday that remembers loved ones who passed away. Incorporated are a mixture of element inspired by the holiday including traditional skull and skeleton graphics spread out through the upper and on the inner and outer sole. The Day of the Dead Dunks were limited to 1000 pairs exclusively found in Canada and Mexico two years ago making them very hard to find at release and even harder now.

One of the more rare and harder to find sneakers in our Best Halloween Shoes countdown is the Nike’s Freddy Krueger Dunk SB Low. Ranked 4th, this Dunk SB Low is of course inspired by none other than the fictional Nightmare on Elm St character, Freddy Kruger. The sneakers consists of Freddy’s outfit colors and stripes as well as his being hit with his skin color, blood splatter and finished off with a silver swoosh. The Freddy Krueger Dunk Low SB won’t be hitting stores anytime soon and only samples can be found in the marketplace.

Inspired by the fictional Japanese monster from the Godzilla series, the Monster Air Max 95 ranks 5th in the Best Halloween Shoes series. The Monster Air Max 95 sports a combination of cargo, hornet and paul brown while the toe consists of a textured material representing Godzilla’s outer skin. The Monster Air Max 95s were originally released 7 years ago in 2001, however they can be found floating around eBay with a hefty price tag.

Based off one of the most classic Halloween characters Frankenstein is used as the main source of inspiration for this Nike Air Force 1 released this time two years ago. The sneakers appear in a familiar Halloween Air Force 1 format, patent leather being paired with designs tying into Halloween, this time around its Frankenstein’s colors and stitching on the toe and heel. We have chosen the Frankenstein to be the 7th best Halloween shoe, but stay tuned to find out what other sneakers made the cut.

Coming in at the 9th spot in our “Best Halloween Shoes” series is the Nike Dunk SB High Jason Voorhees, modeled after the posters of the horror flick Friday the 13th rather than the hockey mask wearing Jason. The Dunk SB Highs feature a main combination of deep red and black. However, Jason’s character is incorporated on the toe box where a blood stain design is placed. The Jason Voorhees Dunk SB High initially released last November, but they do happen pop up every now and then.
