Nike Zoom Flight Club Player Exclusive

The Nike Zoom Flight Club is an emerging sneaker from Nike’s world famous basketball line. Taking inspiration from Gary Payton’s Nike Zoom Flight 98, the Zoom Flight Club hosts a perforated leather upper with a Nike Swoosh near the front and a zipper going right down the middle of the sneaker. The Nike Zoom Flight Club has been stirring up various opinions on the net, and some NBA athletes have begun to rock the sneaker on the courts. In the start of the season, most NBA players wore the Nike Hyperdunk, then the Nike Huarache ‘09, Nike Blue Chip and other various sneakers began to show up, and now the Nike Zoom Flight Club has started to make its presence felt. A plethora of athletes including Caron Butler, Andre Iguodala, OJ Mayo, and Larry Hughes are now rocking player exclusive (PE) colorways of the Nike Zoom Flight Club on court. Nike Zoom Lebron VI (6) - New Colorways | Now Available

Two new colorways of the Nike Zoom Lebron VI (6) have just hit some online retailers. The first of the two color schemes is white/university red-metallic silver and is better known as the Ohio State University (OSU) colorway. This pair features a white leather base with red and silver accents as well as a 3M camouflage midsole. The second new colorway is black/white-varsity royal-varsity maize and this pair yields a black leather upper accented by a blue 3M midsole, blue inner lining, and blue laces. Both new colorways of the Nike Zoom Lebron VI (6) are now available at Eastbay.

With the plethora of new colorways of the Nike Hyperdunk and the Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4) being released as of late, a new sneaker for Kobe Bryant may come a surprise to some sneakerheads. There is no doubt that the Hyperdunk and ZKIV are two of Kobe’s best sneakers, and Nike hopes to continue their recent success with Bryant’s sneaker, the Nike Dream Season. The Dream Season takes much inspiration from the Zoom Kobe IV including key aesthetical aspects such as Kobe’s signature on the heel and a similar notch outsole. The Nike Dream Season is also set to yield a Phylon midsole and an air unit in the heel for added support and comfort. The Nike Dream Season is set to make its debut in Fall 2009. Via Kenlu.

Low top basketball sneakers are definitely making some noise as of late including the popular Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4), and now it seems as though two new colorways of the Nike Zoom MVP X, Steve Nash’s signature sneaker, will also be releasing soon. These two colorways are inspired by two of the elite guards in the NBA—Brandon Roy and Deron Williams. Roy’s pair features a black patent leather rear with a black leather toebox, and white and red accents. The Deron Williams PE (seen after the ‘jump’) yields a simpler colorway of a white upper with navy blue and university blue accents. Both pairs come with the corresponding player’s logo on the bottom rear of the sneaker and are set to hit retailers in the upcoming months. Via Sucro.

The Nike Air Penny III (3) – Black / Black – Varsity Royal released at the end of last year and it is now time for the white based colorway of the classic Air Penny III to release. Featuring a white leather base with blue and black accents seen on the midsole, upper, and inner lining, this pair is extremely reminiscent of the Orlando Magic’s home jerseys. Also coming with the Air Penny logo and a subtle white swoosh on the heel, the classic sneaker is brought back in ‘09, and if this pair is a sign of what is come, the future looks quite promising. Though the new Nike Zoom Kobe IV has gained much attention over the past few months, many basketball players still prefer its high top counterpart, the Nike Hyperdunk. With the NBA All Star 2009 Game just around the corner, Nike Basketball has created two colorways of the Hyperdunk—one for the Eastern conference All-Stars and one for the Western conference All-Stars. Each pair directly correlates with the team’s jerseys. The “West” Nike Hyperdunk features a red upper while its Eastern counterpart yields a gradient blue upper. Both pairs come equipped with a white midsole, a white swoosh, and white laces. There is no word if these will be made available to the public or not, but be sure to stay tuned for updates. Puma Slipstream High Monster

Though Puma is not known for their basketball line, they are bringing back the Puma Slipstream High this year. Originally released in the 1980’s, the Slipstream was an innovative and modern sneaker model at the time. We are now seeing previews of two colorways of the sneaker which are set to release later this year. The first colorway yields a grey upper with black, pink, and light blue accents.
