Last we saw A Bathing Ape’s Bapesta, it had gone back to experimenting with patent leather, which helped make it famous since the silhouette’s inception. Now, BAPE seems to be trying to once again disallow passers by from staring at your bapestas by draping a set of five of them in foil. The set of five Bapestas come in pink/white, red/white, purple/white, blue/white and copper/white. While the midsoles, shoe laces, and inner lining come in white, the uppers, outsoles and actual BAPE logo on each shoe all come in the pair’s particular foil color. These are set to release from select BAPE retailers soon- dropping from BAPE New York and BAPE Los Angeles this coming Saturday November 21, 2009. The Bapesta has been one of A Bathing Ape’s most successful sneaker silhouettes to date; so it makes sense that the brand pay it much due attention. If you recall, the Bapesta recently received a checkered touch to match a series of accessories the brand also just recently dropped. Now, we see two pairs of the Bapesta pictured here using a technique and material that helped the Bapesta become so famous- patent leather. The first pair comes in a common black/grey/white colorway, while the second sports white and different shades of pink. Both of these patent leather pairs of the Bapesta have been made available thanks to select retailers worldwide.

Last we heard about the Bape Five Sta, it had been reworked into a training shoe equipped with style. For the holiday season, the Bape Five Sta returns donning leather uppers this time. We have received word that four new leather Bape Five Sta colorways have released, all of which also sport a hint of reflective 3M material on the toe box. The latest addition to Bape’s Winter 2009 collection comes in the form of three new colorways of their hiking boot, the Bape Mountain Soldier. Featuring models in Black and Brown leather as while as Beige suede, the boot is completed by its well thought-out detail work, most notably, its two-tone sole and white contrast stitching. The use of striped laces gives the model just the right about of pop, especially when paired with D-Ring lacestays. All three colorways of the Mountain Soldier Boot are available now from select Bape retailers.

On top of the ‘Woodland’ Bapesta 88 Mid models we showed you yesterday, Bape has released another round of colorways for their mid-top sneaker, to be sold exclusively through their reseller, Zozo.  In five basic colorways, the collection features metallic heel and eyelet panels, as well as pseudo-safari print around the toe box, midsole, and collar. If the two-tone sneakers appeal to the Bape-lover in you, all five models are available now from Zozotown.

On top of the two NYC and LA exclusive ‘Tiger’ Bapestas we showed you last week, Bape has released another all-Black version of the limited edition sneaker. Dubbed the ‘Black Tiger’, the model features a patent leather blacked-out upper and Grey/White/Red tiger graphic on the heel panel. Like its two tiger motif predecessors, the model is available exclusively from Bape flagship stores in New York and Los Angeles.

Bape brings its Puma Clyde inspired ‘Crepe‘ sneaker back for three new Fall colorways. Seeing releases in Brown, Navy, and Black, the sneaker features a suede upper, off-white midsole, and fat laces. The simple silhouette makes the model one of the easiest Bapes to wear, and given that most of their most recent releases haven’t sat well with a large part of the sneaker community (excluding that wicked Ghostbusters collection), it may be an attempt to get back to basics. All three colorways are available now from Bape flagship stores.
