Purchasing overseas can be a bit scary, especially lately.

Here we bring you a few small tips that you could use in order to help you determine whether or not you would like to pull the trigger on that pair you’ve been eying online. Maybe you have certain tips of your own that you’d like to share. Either way, we hope this helps a little.

The latest pack from Vans is composed of two pairs of the Half Cab and one pair of the Vans Authentic, and is dubbed the “Pinstripe Pack” for good reason. All three sneakers from this pack host pinstripes on the upper and white mid-soles. The Authentic hosts a black base with white pinstripes, while one pair of the Half Cab also yields the same color scheme. The second Half Cab features a grey base with red pinstripes, white laces, and a red inner lining. The Vans Pinstripe Pack is now available at select Vans retailers.

This coming Fall, Vans will celebrate some of America’s finest cities with their “City Pack.” At first blush, you’ll notice that Chicago’s Shedd Aquarium, Los Angeles’ Lockwood Elementary, New York’s Astor Place and San Francisco’s The Embarcadero were used as inspiration. Each city is observed with two legendary Vans’ silhouettes including the Half Cab, Sk8-Hi, Era, and Authentic. Look for the Vans City Pack later this Fall at your favorite skate account!

The newest Vans pack to release is dubbed the Mint Pack due to the use of mint colored accents on the sneakers. This pack comes in four different models ranging from high-tops to low-tops, but each pair still yields the basic colorway of a brown upper with mint accents and a white sole. The Vans Mint Pack is now available for purchase at your local Vans retailers, so don’t hesitate to cop a pair…or even all four. California skate troupe Vans goes against the grain with their Barb Wire Pack. The three-pair release features the Sk8-Hi, Slip-On, and Authentic with pinstripe-esque detailing that’s actually barbwire. Each model features vulcanized styling with a black canvas upper that works to bring out the careful horizontal and vertical detailing. The Vans Barb Wire Pack will be available at your favorite Vans retailer in the coming future!

Vans Vault has been dishing out packs left and right as of late, and we now get a first look at a perforated pack which is set to drop in the Summer of 2009. This pack consists of three models: the Vans Sk8 High Lx, the Vans Authentic Lx and the Vans Classic Slip-On Lx. All three sneakers host white uppers with black perforated leather and turquoise accents seen under the perforated leather and on the inner lining. The Vans Vault Perforated Pack should be available for purchase at your local Vans retailers early next month.

Vans have consistently been designing the hottest and most unique sneakers as of late, and this pack yields no exception. Vans have called upon anything they can think of including stripes, snakeskin, Nike Dunks, and their obsession with a check pattern for inspiration. With this pack, the popular California sneaker brand has employed a fairly simple colorway onto three pairs of the Vans Authentic. The three pairs feature tonal uppers composed of colors including green, blue, and orange. All three color schemes come with a white midsole and a mini check pattern on the inner lining. These are now available at select Vans retailers including DQM.
