Asics Europe designers Remco and Remko have renovated the Asics Gel Lyte Speed, Gel Lyte III, and GT II to combine the old school with the new school, creating the Asics Runovation Pack. Asics has taken original colorways from original Asics performance models and revamped them with modern day materials to showcase the future of running shoes. All six shoes have mesh panels, white midsoles, and a lot of style for performance shoes. This project isn’t a crazy collaboration with a top brand, nor a gaudy shoe release, but a project that involves innovation and creativity. Check the pictures after the jump to see for yourself.

San Francisco boutique Shoebiz recently partnered up with Onitsuka Tiger to create a premium version of the Mexico ‘66 in navy blue/yellow. The All-Vegan shoe features a mesh overlay up top with a 3M layer underneath. The model’s gum outsole is finished by a black “rubber” toecap. The Mexico’s sockliner features Shoebiz’s dinosaur logo. The Shoebiz x Onitsuka Tiger Mexico ‘66 will be available exclusively at Shoebiz later this summer.

Only a few days ago, we featured the Asics Gel Lyte III – Season Spot Pack which consisted of three colorways of the Asics Gel Lyte III, and we now have another trio of sneakers to share. This time around, Asics is set to drop three new variations of the GT-Quick. The first pair hosts a black base with blue and teal accents, whereas the second pair yields a lighter colorway consisting of a white base with grey and pruple accents. The third and final colorway features a beige base with white, brown, and purple accents. The Asics GT-Quick Season Spot Edition is now available at select Asics retailers.

Japanese retailer GETTRY sought out unlikely inspiration for their latest collaborative effort with Asics. Asics’ Procourt AR was once a favorite on the courts of Japan, but like most retros, has seamlessly crossed over into the lifestyle market. The “Hamburger” was fostered by the globalization of fast food, as hues like “Burger Brown” and “Cheese Yellow” mark the strapped hightop’s upper. Speaking of upper, the shoe’s most vertical region is a tasteful blend of patent and perforated leather. If you’re still hungry, the model’s sockliner is covered in french fries. The GETTRY x Asics Procourt AR “Hamburger” is available exclusively in Japan at GETTRY.

The Gel Lyte III, one of the more popular models from Asics, is coming back to us in the Season Spot Pack. The Season Spot Pack consists of three very clean colorways, each with a different style. Besides the fact that the Asics Gel Lyte III is already a clean sneaker, there’s a very interesting thing about these pairs. The tongue is split down the middle, and that’s something that you don’t see everyday. Also, the use of suede and mesh is a look that works well. Only dropping in Japan, be sure to check these out when they release next month.

Asics has worked its way into the sneaker scene through its works with large name retailers, but they continue to release attractive packages away from collaborations including the Runovation Pack. Inside is three classic running models, the GT II, Gel Lyte III and Gel Lyte Speed. The GT II sports a white/gold/black colorway, while the Gel Lyte III and Gel Lyte Spped are made up of white/black/yellow and white/silver/purple respectively. Comprised of colorful new variations of the Gel Lyte III and Gel Lyte Speed, the brand’s new stable emphasizes “running shoe” comfort and resonant color schemes.
