While we were able to bring you a teaser pic of the result of a collaboration between HighSnobiety and Asics, little could be told from the picture. Not to worry, though. We now have pictures of the finalized producted to show you. This pair of Asics Gel Lyte III has an upper actually made of pig skin and patent leather, while the colorway is mainly blue and grey. A big collaboration like this begs a big release date- and big it is. These will go on sale both online and in-store from the DavidZ shop at 556 Broadway between Prince and Spring streets in New York City. 200 pairs have been set aside for online sales, while only 18 will be able to be purchased in-store. At the end of August, the Asics crew applied an eye-opening “blue jumbo” colorway on its famous Gel Lyte III. Now, the same silhouette is in midst of being reworked by the Asics crew again- only this time the HighSnobiety crew is on the job as well. Previewed here is the result of said collaboration- a Gel Lyte III with what seems to be a predominantly grey upper and blue suede on the mid panels and toe box. We’ll be sure to give you a look at the finished product once more detailed pictures surface.

Many Air Jordan aficionados have to live without a pair of Grape V’s at their disposal. But no longer do you have to live without that colorway on yet another stylish shoe. As part of their Fall/Winter of 2009 Asics collection, the brand is dropping a colorway similar to that of the aforementioned Jordan on a silhouette made for active wear. But if the purple/teel colorway doesn’t entice you, there are several different ones also becoming available when this collection drops- including two that sport green tones and two more that each draw somewhat from the purple/teel colorway. Mita, a Japanese retailer, is no stranger to collaborations- especially with Asics. Less than a year removed from this same pairing’s 2008 campaign for the Gel Lyte III, September 5, 2009 marks the release date of this familiar duo’s latest collaborative work. The Gel-Lyte Speed is set to drop in a colorway inspired by the relaxing feel we all seem to associate with “Tropical” areas. Hitting stores just as summer should be wrapping up, these kicks consist of a predominantly grey base with bright red, pink, blue and yellow accents. Limited to a reported 500 pairs, getting your hands on a pair of these might be as elusive as that tropical vacation I’m sure we could all use. Asics has really done well for themselves these past few weeks. With two solid collaboration models under their belt (working with Nice Kicks and Cultureshoq), the Japanese athletic company has hit another home run with the latest version of their Asics Gel Lyte Speed. Dubbed the ‘Grey Goose’, the most prominent feature of the colorway is the red and white striping found on the midsole and laces. On top of that, the upper features some reflective 3M paneling — a rather stark contrast to the predominantly suede shoe. The eye popping Gel Lyte Speed colorway should be making its way into stores this September.

It’s not everyday you get to have a collaboration with Asics, but the day is here for Cultureshoq. Apart of the Cultureshoq x Asics Gel Lyte III Trilogy Project we have a look at the first installment. Also apart of this collaboration is Ronnie Fieg, who’s work in the past is just phenomenal. Materials used are different leathers and pigskin suede, while placing a Grey midsole, Purple eyelets, and a perforated toe box. Also with the Cultureshoq Asics is three different laces. New York’s Alife Rivington Club teamed up with Asics to rework two new pairs of classic joggers for the summer season. Heavy splashes of mesh are offset by smooth suede accents. ARC’s classic logo is stitched onto each model’s middle panel, located right behind Asics’ signature stripes. Preliminary color schemes include white/rosemary/pine green and cream/rosemary/navy/gold. As the release date nears, we’ll key you in on the Summer ‘09 Asics x Alife Rivington collaboration.
