Japanese retailer GETTRY sought out unlikely inspiration for their latest collaborative effort with Asics. Asics’ Procourt AR was once a favorite on the courts of Japan, but like most retros, has seamlessly crossed over into the lifestyle market. The “Hamburger” was fostered by the globalization of fast food, as hues like “Burger Brown” and “Cheese Yellow” mark the strapped hightop’s upper. Speaking of upper, the shoe’s most vertical region is a tasteful blend of patent and perforated leather. If you’re still hungry, the model’s sockliner is covered in french fries.
