Back in November Solebox dropped a teaser image of their upcoming collaboration with asics on a “Gel Pack”. Now we have another brief glimpse of the collab, this time focusing on the Gel Lyte III.

As you can tell from this image, orange joins the black and light blue that we had already seen on the kicks, making these perfectly fit for the warm weather ahead.

The final drop of the ASICS Fall/Winter 2011 collection has now hit retailers.

Consisting of four limited colorways, the drop features a black/grey GT II alongside red/blue/white, lime/black/infrared and white/royal/purple colorways of the Gel Lyte III.

Available on a first come, first served basis, all four quickstrikes are available now in limited quantities from KITH, both online and in-store.

Approximately three weeks ago we saw the release of the “LeatherBack” Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte III that boasted a rather nice color combination of black, grey and teal. That great colorway is now followed by another classic colorway in the “infrared” theme pictured here. More than just an “infrared” colorway, however, this pair also boasts a speckled sole. And, if you like these, then you can proceed to Hanon to place a pre-order now.

This Friday marks the grand opening of the new KITH location in Manhattan at 644 Broadway.

To celebrate the occasion, Ronnie Fieg and Asics have collaborated on the Gel Lyte III once again.  Dubbed the “LeatherBacks”, the kicks feature a premium black leather upper alongside a grey suede toebox and bright blue accents.

The kicks are set to drop this Friday, November 18, with the first 40 pairs in-store featuring a special engraved wooden box, dog tags, and a KITH x Asics tee.  The sets will retail for $200 with the remaining pairs (sans special packaging/giftset) available at KITH and online for $130.

While it may be overshadowed by the Ronnie Fieg “Salmon Toe”, this asics collaboration is worth the attention.

Following up their ZX 8000 collab with adidas, atmos comes back with an asics Gel Lyte III.  This black/gold colorway was originally previewed back in August and is a sweet alternative to the “Salmon Toe” for those looking to add to their all-black-everything wardrobe.

The atmos x asics Gel Lyte III is now available via Tokyo-based atmos.

For the KITH store grand opening, the Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte III will drop in limited edition pairs provided by Good Wood and MASCustoms.

The collaboration will feature 40 runs of limited edition wooden boxes, that will include KITH x Asics “Salmon Toe” tee and wooden hog tags.

These limited edition Gel Lytes will be available September 30th at 11am EST at the KITH Grand Opening.

Ronnie Fieg has almost singlehandedly revived ASICS over the past couple of years, with their collaborations allowing the brand to resonate with sneakerheads.  The “Mint Leaf” colorway of the Gel Lyte III released back in July exclusively through David Z in New York City and sold out immediately.  Fans have also been eagerly awaiting the previously seen “Leatherback”.

This morning Fieg announced that the “Salmon Toe” and “Leatherback” ASICS Gel Lyte III will both see a limited release through his new KITH shop, with more concrete info coming soon.

The aforementioned “Salmon Toe” covers issue #22 of Sneaker Freaker, opposite the LeBron 9 “Miami”.
