At the end of August, the Asics crew applied an eye-opening “blue jumbo” colorway on its famous Gel Lyte III. Now, the same silhouette is in midst of being reworked by the Asics crew again- only this time the HighSnobiety crew is on the job as well. Previewed here is the result of said collaboration- a Gel Lyte III with what seems to be a predominantly grey upper and blue suede on the mid panels and toe box. We’ll be sure to give you a look at the finished product once more detailed pictures surface.

Asics is chock full of ideas, which they in turn relay onto its shoes. The Asics Gel Lyte III is its latest victim, as it is released in a army-like olive/black/orange colorway. This dark tone shoe gives off a rugged vibe, especially with the crackled grey midsole, which is placed atop a dominantly black outsole with olive and orange accents. The black upper is executed in leather and mesh, along with olive suede and leather with orange outlining. The laces sport black and orange to nicely match the theme of the shoe, which is available now for about $123.

It’s not everyday you get to have a collaboration with Asics, but the day is here for Cultureshoq. Apart of the Cultureshoq x Asics Gel Lyte III Trilogy Project we have a look at the first installment. Also apart of this collaboration is Ronnie Fieg, who’s work in the past is just phenomenal. Materials used are different leathers and pigskin suede, while placing a Grey midsole, Purple eyelets, and a perforated toe box. Also with the Cultureshoq Asics is three different laces. Asics has once again teamed up with David Z.’s Ronnie Fieg to create the Asics Gel Lyte III in a super blue/grey colorway. The defining characteristic of the shoe is the super blue nubuck found towards the middle of the shoe. It is contrasted by a light grey perforated toebox and other grey panels. Of course the Gel Lyte III’s have its unique tongue, but this time, Fieg added net material to the side and back heel panels for a fresh look. And with the popularity of speckled midsoles, this shoe keeps with the Jones’s. These will be available May 1st only on the David Z. site, limited to 252 pairs.

Asics’ brand presence extends into Europe, where the company’s classic runners are casual cornerstones and high-performance technical shoes have achieved a cult-like following. Once again, Japanese based retailer Mita Sneakers and Asics team up to present their latest duo of Gel Lyte III’s. Similar to the first version, the pack consists of two different styles, Purple Haze and Blueberry. Each consists of metallic uppers, polka dots around the ankle area and a splattered mid-sole. Both look phenomenal and feature a great amount of details, a major achievement for the Gel Lyte III. Release is scheduled for later next month at Flauge.
