The latest in innovation of the Nike Basketball line has come in the form of the Nike Skyposite. The Nike Skyposite has been made in a player exclusive colorway for Phoenix Suns star Amare Stoudemire. The Skyposite features a black gradient leather upper with a white swoosh to contrast the dark base shoe. The gradient blends purple to match the purple Lunar-lite midsole, which keeps a white outsole underneath. On the opposite end, the inner lining and laces are black, with the tongue bearing the initials of Amare. This unbelievably light shoe will release this December.

Sported by Amare Stoudemire and Caron Butler, the inventive Nike Foamposite Lite is the latest installment in the brand’s venerable ‘Posite stable. Featuring an armour-esque Polyurethane upper, and external heel counter, the Lite is augmented by a Carbon Fiber shank plate and 5mm Zoom Air bag embedded in the heel. The Nike Basketball shoe is available now in a black/anthracite colorway (Expect a bevy of team-oriented schemes to drop later in ‘09!) at Eastbay for $154.99.

As a confessed low top addict, I often live by my own lame, self-invented, “I’m a lowtop man in a hightop world,” statement. On the market today, hot lows are all too often a can’t-find, as most ballplayers opt for the supposed benefits of ankle coverage. Over the weekend, Hong Kong ‘heads reported that Amare Stoudemire’s first signature ride, the Nike S.T.A.T. One, (An Alphaproject production) released in a low form! Distinguished by an uber-sleek white/neon green color scheme, the model’s dynamic upper is comprised mostly of patent leather, with a downwards-canted Swoosh wrapping round the heel. A sticky, multi-directional herringbone outsole should provide stellar traction on all varieties of courts. Just one question remains however—when are these releasing stateside? Via abt of Iss.
