Finally, a collaboration that makes sense. The good peoples over at Marvel Comics have come together with Airwalk to bring out a line of sweaters, tees, and vulcanized sneakers. These particular images feature early mock-up samples of the kicks and apparel, so expect adjustments when you see them at exclusive retailers later this year.

It says a lot about us as a people when, even amidst so much evil and wrong-doing in this life, there are still many looking to make great change- even if it might be by taking one baby step after the next. Airwalk teamed up with its surfer Anastasia Ashley this past Saturday morning and took part in an effort that helps make things better for everyone. From 10am-12pm, a group of volunteers rendez-voused on the North Shore of Oahu and got their hands dirty en route to making the shores less cluttered with litter. Although the participants might not have been properly suited up in a pair of sneakers from the STPL x Star Trek x Airwalk Terrain Collection, each one’s efforts were rewarded with a pair of Anastasia’s RIO Airwalk shoes- a great complement to the pure gratification that comes from helping out.

To commemorate the DVD release of the latest Star Trek movie, Airwalk and STPL have been recruited to create yet another collection of Airwalk Terrain sneakers for the event. Each model features the delta shield logo on its tongue and heel tab, and comes in a colorway to match one of the Star Trek uniforms, namely, ‘Engineering Red’, ‘Command Gold’, or ‘Science Blue’. You can expect the collection to hit Payless tomorrow for under $50.

Airwalk may have been away from the major footwear scene for awhile, but they are still going strong with new releases including their latest, the Arigato. This Arigato gets its inspiration from the popular Rising Sun design is implemented while utilizing the old school Airwalk feel. Furthermore, it sports a nice contrast of colors, black and red with the logo at the side of the sneakers. No word as of release date, but retail is suggested at $42.
