The Nike Air Max 90 has not been seen in too many colorways this month, but we now have our first look at a pair made exclusively in grade school sizes. This sneaker hosts a grey perforated leather upper with white accents seen on the mid-sole, toecap, tongue and heel, while blue accents can be seen via the inner lining and mudguard. Though the color scheme is quite bright and vibrant, the most interesting aspect of this Air Max 90 is the image of a fire hydrant on the tongue from which this style receives its nickname. Nike has come up with another colorway for their latest hybrid: the Nike Air Max Terra Ninety in a dark grey/pure purple/white/orange blaze colorway. The Air Max Terra Ninety fuses the Nike Air Max 90 and Terra Humara to create another casual shoe. The shoe uses a grey leather upper contrasted by a white midsole, pure purple swoosh, orange blaze heel panel, and translucent Air Max unit which contains a purple inner. This colorway is reminiscent of the usual Nike Terra shoes, which often combine unique colorways for those looking for a different pair of sneakers that abstain from the norm. These are available now for about $150.

More and more of Nike’s 20th Anniversary collection of Air Max 90s is being seen as we near closer to 2010. This time around this exclusive Air Max 90 does not sport crocodile or snake skin on the upper rather it consists of a metallic gold cracked leather base. The brightly colored upper is supported by a white midsole, and black applications on the lacing area, sole and on other areas of the sneaker. Like the rest of the 20th Anniversary models, this pair is very rare and limited to only 57 pairs worldwide. However, you can now find two pairs online in 8 and 8.5 at VMV.

While the 20th Anniversary of the Nike Air Max 90 is only one year away, special make-ups of the classic runner have been created to celebrate two decades of production. Earlier in the month two crocodile skin models were reported and said to have only been given to Nike reps, here’s a look at one more crocodile skin Air Max 90 in addition to two snakeskin pairs. The first of the two consists of grey snakeskin on the upper while the second sports blue. As for the latest crocodile skin AM90, it features mocha on the upper with matching accents. The word is that these won’t be dropping and were created in very limited quantities, but you can now find them online.

As Nike’s Air Max 90 approaches 20 years in the making, we get a glimpse at a special model given only to the friends and family of Nike. Like the past f&f model reported just days ago, this Air Max 90 is comprised of faux white crocodile skin leather upper as well as a white midsole and anthracite sole. White crocodile skin leather appears all throughout the sneaker including the tongue where the logo is embossed. Rumor has it that these sneakers are most likely not going to release to the public and only a few pairs exist. However, it won’t be extremely difficult getting your hands on a pair as they have surfaced online in both colorways.

The Nike Air Max 90 is one of Nike’s greatest running sneakers, and it’s 20th anniversary is coming up next year. While you can expect a ton of great colorways in 2010, Nike has already started designing some new styles for the AM90. This pair was made exclusively in limited numbers for Nike representatives’ “Friends and Family.” Featuring a brown faux crocodile skin upper accented by red laces and a white midsole, this pair yields an overall simple colorway which is nicely contrasted by the unique texture of the faux croc skin.
