In 2010, we briefly ran through the Air Jordan Pantone 284 Laser Collection that Jordan Brand teased us with, which included everything from the Air Jordan 1 to the Air Jordan 2010.

They’ve recently began resurfacing again in the Air Jordan XI (11) “Pantone” Sample. This make-up of the Air Jordan XI (11) “Pantone” Sample features  an all light blue upper in soft micro fiber material, similar to the material seen on the Cool Greys. What’s different from the original Pantone XI however, is the patent leather that takes up most of the shoe, as opposed to laser etched patterns.

Celebrating in style is nothing new to food connoisseur Sandia, and when it comes to baking, her skills shouldn’t be taken lightly. As far back as her childhood she’s always had an eye and hand for fine cuisine and sweet goods which is now reflected through her latest unique bakery creation.

As a surprise to a groom from his fiance, and now wife, Sandia was hired to bake up something special for the husband-to-be. Special indeed, an Air Jordan XI (11) Retro Black/Varsity Red cake was created as a tribute to his favorite sneaker. The “Bred” 11 cake, inspired by one of today’s most beloved Air Jordan signature sneakers, features many of the shoe’s same details including a patent leather-esque upper and branding. Love is spelled all over this cake as it also features a unique retro box which takes after the Air Jordan XI (11) Retro “Concord” which is due to release in stores later this month.

The very first time the Air Jordan XI ‘Cool Grey’ hit the shoe game, was back in 2001, and will be rereleased tomorrow, a good 9 years later. Now when the news first broke that the ‘Cool Greys’ were being retroed once again in 2010, everyone was concern in whether or not there will be drastic changes to the shoe. Eventually pics surfaced of the 2010 retro, and not much as changed besided the slight blue tint added to the shoes translucent sole. But, samples of the shoe has recently surfaced, and shows a mesh upper instead of the classic nubuck upper. Now imagine if the ‘Cool Greys’ with the mesh upper would’ve released instead, would everyone still be pleased? A shoe that made its debut back in 1995, the Air Jordan XI is an iconic shoe made famous by the legendary Michael Jordan. Back in 2008 the AJ XI ‘Bred’ dropped, last year it was the AJ XI ‘Space Jam’, and this december the AJ XI ‘Cool Grey’ will be releasing. Three of the most iconic colorways of the Air Jordan XI have all faced a recent release, all except one. The ‘Concord’ colorway was last released back in 2000, but are now comfirmed to be hitting store selves in 2011. Earlier today Sneakerfiles showed you guys detailed images of the Air Jordan VIII, IX and X part of the Air Jordan x Pantone 248 collection. Now we have detailed shots of the Air Jordan XI, XII and XIII, all three feature a Carolina Sky Blue nubuck with Pantone 248 lasering on the upper, and White accents including a White mid and bottom sole. The Air Jordan x Pantone 248 collection is part of the Air Jordan ‘For The Love Of The Game’ collection. If you thought your fake radar was able to rest with all the recent releases from Nike and Air Jordan, you were dead wrong. A new generation of high quality fakes has taken the Air Jordan XI Silver Anniversary edition victim, creating a pair virtually alike except for some very subtle differences unnoticeable to the untrained eye. Don’t be scared if you thought the fakes were real or vice versa. This just means now more than ever, authentic sneakerhead spots such as Shoe York are needed to assure legitness. This past Sunday was the 52nd annual Grammy Awards, which celebrates the year’s achievements of today’s best musical artists. To end the show with one of the year’s most popular songs, Lil Wayne, with the help of Eminem and Drake, capped off the night with a bang. Of course, Weezy did it in style, rocking a pair of 2009 retro Air Jordan XI Space Jams to complement his simple outfit consisting of jeans and a white tee. Does Weezy do the Jams justice, especially onstage?
