In more Jordan Brand news, we finally have our first look at the upcoming 2012 retro of the Air Jordan VII “Charcoal”.

As you can see from the image, the kicks clearly sport a light shade of grey on the upper and appear almost identical to the so-called “Raptors” VII from the 2009 “Defining Moments Package”. Granted, this first image is of an early sample, so we’ll have to see if the kicks change at all between now and when they release this Fall.

Look for the Air Jordan VII “Charcoal” to drop this September and stay tuned to SneakerFiles for more info on the release.

Rounding out the release info for upcoming 2012 Jordan Brand retro drops is the Air Jordan VII “Charcoal”.

While we are still awaiting info on whether these will resemble the OG or if they’ll be closer to the “Raptors”, we can confirm that the shoe will drop this September.

Following the July 2012 launches of the classic “Olympic” Air Jordan VI and VII is this brand new Air Jordan “Olympic Pack”.

First seen in December, we can now confirm that the two kicks will be packaged together and will indeed drop this August.

Joining the “Olympic” Air Jordan VI is the “Olympic” Air Jordan VII.

Last seen with the “For the Love of the Game” logo in 2010, this will be the first proper retro since 2004. Like the Olympic VI, these are set to drop in July just as the London 2012 Olympic Games are getting under way.

In addition to the return of the “Olympic” Air Jordan VI next Fall, Jordan fans will be treated to a brand new “Olympic Pack”.

Featuring the VI and VII, the kicks will spot never before seen colorways – white/gold and black/gold, respectively.

Set to drop in August of next year, is the “Olympic Pack” going to rival the return of the OG “Olympic” VI?

In addition to the upcoming Air Jordan VI “Olympic”, 2012 will also mark the return of the Air Jordan VII “Charcoal”.

Last seen as the so-called “Raptors” as a part of the Sixty Plus (60+) Pack in 2009, the kicks were originally released in 1992 and retroed in 2002.

No word yet on whether these will see a predominately black upper with minimal charcoal hits like the OG or if they’ll look similar to the “Raptors”.  Either way, this is sure to be one of the most highly anticipated releases of 2012.

First seen back in June, new images have surfaced of the Air Jordan VII CDP sample via Phase2.

This unreleased sample was initially set to be part of the Air Jordan VII/XVI Countdown Pack, which ultimately included the “Hare” Jordan VII instead.  The sample features a simple white/black/red colorway with an upper composed of two different white leathers – one with a matte finish, the other with a shinier (but not patent) finish.  Also of note are the mismatching outriggers, with the forefoot predominately red while the heel sports black.

How does this sample match up with the Hare VII?  Do you wish these had dropped, either as a part of the CDP or as a stand alone release?
