To celebrate the sixth anniversary of Jordan Motorsports, Jordan Brand released a celebratory Air Jordan Six Rings in an exclusive Jordan Motorsports colorway to match the Jordan Motorsports Air Jordan VI. The Air Jordan Six Rings comes complete with a white leather upper and black Air Jordan XIII sole. The tongue features the “23″ and Jordan logos, along with “two 3″ stitched vertically to do it like the Air Jordan XII. Black laceholders match the black laces, and black is also placed on the Air Jordan VI style logo at the back heel. The key characteristic is the cement print inner lining, making this shoe stand out on the racetrack. Not a bad design for the number-inspired hybrid.

Jordan Brand is celebrating the Los Angeles Lakers and Portland Trail Blazers with unique sets of footwear dedicated to each organization’s history and color scheme. The Lakers pack features a white/purple/yellow iteration of the heterogeneous Air Jordan Six Rings and black/white/purple/yellow variatons of the skate-friendly Air Jordan I (1) Phat. The LA triumvirate will hit stores on January 31, 2009. The Blazers pack also offers a pair of the Six Rings and two pairs of the Phat, but in white/black/red hues to match-up with the Blazers’ uniforms. The Trailblazers pairs will hit on February 14, 2009. The Lakers and Blazers Air Jordan Six Rings will be priced at an exorbiant $160, while all four pairs of the AJ1 Phat can be had for $95. Richard “Rip” Hamilton is a cornerstone of Jordan Brand’s TEAM Jordan Squad, and is one of the lucky few who recieves exclusive make-ups of the latest Jumpman releases. (An envious position, wouldn’t you say?) In 2008, the Detroit Pistons veteran recieved several unique versions of the Air Jordan 6 Rings, the brand’s Shelleyian attempt at fusing the shoes Michael Jordan wore when he won NBA championships into a super design.
