As is the case with many Air Jordan releases, the AJ PHLY Legend Premier is held in different lights depending on the sneakerhead you talk to. Last year the AJ PHLY campaign included colorways as toned-down as black/white-red and as loud as faded taupe/midnight navy-white. However, this time around, team Jordan Brand has decided to continue showing Carmelo Anthony of the Denver Nuggets, a celebrated team Jordan Brand member, how appreciated he is. Pictured here is an Air Jordan PHLY Legend Premier Player Exclusive obviously designed for Melo, which is exactly how his nickname reads across the lateral ankle area. You can find slight brown accents throughout this predominantly white, tumbled leather upper. Jordan Brand is known for decking its contract athletes in Player Exclusive colorways that often times makes the avid sneakerhead fan more than just a bit envious. But the pill is perhaps even harder to swallow when you see high schoolers decked in PEs. But Jordan Brand is known for doing that as well, as we’ve already seen Carmelo Anthony’s alma mater, Oak Hill Academy, receive player exclusives of the Air Jordan 60+ and Hallowed Ground (which is pictured here).
