In October we confirmed that the Air Jordan III “Black Flip” is set to drop in Europe on December 3, 2011.  Now we can confirm the release date for this side of the Atlantic.

The kicks will be dropping here in the US on Saturday December 3 as well.  The black version of the “Flip” from 2007, these sport an elephant print leather upper, black lining and insoles, and a grey outsole.  Retail will be $175.

First previewed back in September, the Air Jordan III “Black Flip” is going to be one of the most anticipated drops this Winter.

A black-on-black-on-black version of the 2007 “Flip”, the kicks feature a black leather elephant print upper along with black leather lining and insoles, creating an ultra-lux look rarely seen from Jordan Brand.

While we have yet to receive word on the official U.S. release date, the “Black Flip” is set to drop overseas in Europe on December 3 for $175.

Just a few days ago we delivered to you first images of what we’d like to consider to be the home version of the Oregon PE Air Jordan III, and now we have a new image! Inspired by the Air Jordan Retro 3 White/Cement, this University of Oregon PE takes the classic sneaker to another level. As noted before, the PE will feature an embroidered letter “O” to represent the school logo, but will now also include duck feet on the heel to represent the school’s mascot. Given the black detailing surrounding the sneaker’s eyelets and tongue lining, a forest green outsole and traditional elephant print – what are your thoughts on this PE? Are the Ducks the only deserving school to receive an exclusive Jordan?

The Air Jordan 3 has released in various colorways this year, and now another pair is expected to release known as the “Black Flip Jordan III“. Taking on almost a black out theme, Jordan Brand went with the elephant print all over the uppers, around the toe box and heel plus a light grey/teal on the sole and Jumpman logo. Release date and retail price is not known just yet, but stay tuned for additional information.

Tinker Hatfield, graduate of the University of Oregon, designed the Air Jordan 3 and his designs still resonate in many sneakers today. This common trait that the Jordan III and Hatfield have, gives the U of O the honor to put their stamp on this classic sneaker. Instead of the red ‘Jumpman’, this particular III features the yellow Oregon ‘O’ on the tongue, and duck feet on the back (being that the mascot of the University of Oregon is the duck.) Besides those highlights, it is basically a black cement III. Check out more images below.

Hot off the heels of the release of the Air Jordan III “Stealth”, images of a new Jordan III have surfaced.

This “Black Flip” Jordan III is essentially an inverted version of the “Black Cat” 2007 release.  Like the original Jordan III “Flip”, this blacked-out version sports an upper dominated by the iconic elephant print.

Jordan Brand sure is starting the new year with a “bang” with the release of the Air Jordan III ‘White Cement’ later this month. This will be the 3rd retro of this colorway, with pairs making an appearance back in ’03 and ’94. Not only will this retro be a good quality pair, but will also come in a specially designed replica of the original Air Jordan III box. Compaired to the 2003 pair not much has changed, besides the elephant getting a little bolder, everything is basically the same. A white tumble leather upper, with elephant print appearing on the toe and heel area, along with fire red and black accents throughout the shoe.
