Many Jordan heads and Sneaker heads may not like the whole fusion idea, and rapper Curren$y is one to agree. Curren$y describes the AJ fusion line by saying  “It’s like an Air Force 1 dressing up like a Jordan for Halloween” , which I may say is pretty funny. No you’re not dreaming. This is the new AJF5, soon to release sometime this month. Now before you go and bash this sneaker we just wanted to point out a few things first.

The white/spice Jordan 5 Fusion boasts full grain premium textured leather on the toe box and heel panel along with some perforated leather on the side panel. Add in a beautiful splash of color with the use of spice red, teal and black on the midsole and you have yourself a great looking summer shoe.

Quality has been really lacking over at JB for quite some time now. So we are at least happy to see something with nice materials and a fresh new color scheme, instead of pumping out kicks with the same repetitive colors and styles.

We’ve recently found out that the Air Jordan Fusion VIII White/Black-Varsity Red-Neutral Grey has been made available for an early purchase online. But for those of you who’d rather buy in store, these are still scheduled to release on February 6th. SneakerFiles was among the first sources to give you a sneak(er) peek at the Air Jordan Fusion VIII in the OG white/black-varsity red-natural grey colorway. Now we’d like to also be among the first to inform you as to where you can purchase a pair of these now, although they are not scheduled to release until February 6. UpTempoAir now has this sneaker in a full adult size run for $125- $15 below the suggested retail price. Where does this rank among the Air Jordan Fusion releases? Who’s copping?!

Jordan Brand continues with their streak of Air Jordan fusion models, this time placing the Air Jordan X upper atop the Air Force 1 sole. Many AJ fans aren’t happy with a lot of the recent synthesis models, but this combination could be a step in the right direction, the AJX upper providing for a much simpler silhouette than that of the debatably clashing Air Jordan VIII Fusion model. Rumor has it that this latest hybrid is to reach storefronts by 2010, but we’ll wait and see whether the model gets there at all.

The Air Jordan Fusion IV Varsity Red model we showed you a few months ago has finally been released, along with an echoing Varsity Royal colorway. Combining two of the most iconic shoes around, the fusion features Nubuck uppers and cement accents, with translucent cement Air Force 1 midsoles to tie everything together. Both colorways are available now from NikeTown for a modest $160.
