With the connection between Nike and Oregon, we have seen a number of Jordan Brand kicks for the Ducks over the years, including home and away colorways of the Air Jordan III and an Air Jordan 9 PE.  Now, it appears that their in-state rivals are getting some player exclusives of their own.

An Oregon State PE, this Air Jordan 9 features a predominately white upper with hits of black on the midsole, contrast stitching, and lining.  The Beavers’ orange makes an appearance on the pull-tab, “23″, and Oregon State “O”.

No word on whether or not these will see any kind of a limited release, but stay tuned!

Taking a trip down memory lane, it was 1993-94 season. The Original Air Jordan 9 released and Penny Hardaway was new in the league. What many sneakerheads tend to forget, before Hardaway had his own signature Nike he wore time to time Air Jordans. Pictured is a rare Air Jordan IX (9) PE made for Penny Hardaway when he played for the Orlando Magic. Made in a Black/Dark Charcoal-Royal Blue (matching the away Orlando Magic jersey), Nike switched out the traditional 23 on the heel and added the number 1. This size 14 Jordan 9 Penny Hardaway Player Exclusive would be a memorable shoe in any sneaker collection.

This past winter we showed you the Air Jordan IX (9) “Oregon Ducks PE” in what appeared to be in a black nubuck and white colorway, which surfaced as teaser images for the public eye. Today, another part of the Oregon Ducks Player Exclusive line features the Air Jordan 2010 in the same black/white colorway matching it’s AJ IX counterpart. The Air Jordan 9 is one of the most significant Air Jordan sneakers in history, because it released the same year that MJ retired. These special kicks are now mashed with the Nike Air Force 1 to become the next up in the Air Jordan Force line. This white, black, and red colorway works extremely well on this AJF 9 silhouette. One of the biggest reasons for that would have to be that the AJF 9 retains most of the features from the Air Jordan 9 model, so nothing looks out of place.
