Another unreleased sample of a Womens Air Jordan 8 Low has now turned up online. Similar in materials as the previous model we showcased, this Air Jordan VIII Womens Low features a white/bright cactus-silver colorway. Using tumbled leather, bright cactus on mid-panel, sole and stitching, silver placed in areas on the midsole, and a white base. Expected release was Spring 2008, but Jordan Brand decided to scrap them.

Yesterday we showed you a sample Air Jordan 1 x Jumpman Pro, and today we have another unreleased sample from Jordan Brand, an Air Jordan 8 Low in Black/Zest-Varsity Red made for women. Originally, the Black/Zest-Varsity Red Air Jordan 8 Low was going to release in 2008, but the brand decided to due away with them. Using ostrich leather, nubuck and distressed leather. With November a few months away, we get an updated look at the upcoming AIr Jordan Countdown Pack which is comprised of the Air Jordan VIII (8) and Air Jordan XV (15). As usual, classic styles highlight the package, in this case it is the Air Jordan 8 which features the memorable white / black-true color-way.

Showcasing alongside the XV, the Air Jordan 8 outshines a rather a boring XV which would have been better off in a different design rather than a lackluster color combination. Nevertheless, a Countdown Pack that offers older and new styles. Via Niketalk.

Is Michael Jordan Colorblind?

While speaking with with Tinker Hatfield a few weeks ago, Sneaker Files learned that Michael “Brand” Jordan does not sign off on all colorways for Air Jordans.

“He signs off on every model, but not every colorway.” Tinker explained, “There’s just too much there, and he doesn’t have enough time… Once we’ve finished a project and we’ve got the basic colorways down and feel like things are going to roll, we’ll give up authorship of other colorways because we’re already onto the next thing.”

Good thing, because it would have been disappointing to learn that Mike and/or Tinker would actually sign-off on the hideous Air Jordan 8 (Jordan VIII) Dark Cinder/Champagne/Sail (Womens colorway) pictured above!
