As the face of Jordan Brand’s campaign for its new Air Jordan 2010, it’s no surprise that recent JB signee Dwyane Wade is getting his own special version of the shoe. Keeping it simple with a two-tone white and black upper, the model features a ‘WADE’ embroidering on its tongue seam. No word on whether or not the model will make its way to the public, but the Air Jordan 2010 silhouette is scheduled to reach storefronts in black/white/red in February.

Jordan Brand recently dropped a bomb on the sneaker world, declaring Dwyane Wade the face of the Air Jordan 2010 campaign. Now, detailed pictures of the first colorway in classic Chicago Bulls red/black/white have hit the internet. It seems as though everything after the AJ XXIII is going to be a love/hate shoe with Jordan Brand, because many of you admire the effort put in but still don’t think this shoe can live up to the hype created by Jordan silhouettes of the past. What started out as a mere rumor in late September of an Air Jordan 2010 sneak peek is now a complete reality. Many sneakerheads rejoiced once official word got out that Dwyane Wade had become an official Jordan Brand member. After all, Wade would finally be leaving a Converse brand fans did not think was doing the phenomenal basketball player justice. Moreover, becoming a JB member would also perhaps mean more Jordan releases in the traditional “bred” (black/red) colorway OG sneakerheads go simply gaga for. Well, now that Dwyane Wade IS part of Jordan Brand, both of those things have actually become a reality.

ESPN reports that Jordan Brand has specifically chosen Dwyane Wade to be the face of the campaign efforts behind the Air Jordan 2010, which will drop in its first colorway on February 13 of next year, with a $170 retail price tag. The face of the Miami Heat franchise basically since his rookie year, Dwayne Wade now feels humbled and honored to be the team Jordan Brand member chosen to debut the Jordan sneaker that commemorates the brand’s historic 25-year run. Via his Twitter page, #3 expressed his happiness at “standing side by side (with Michael Jordan) as a team.” We would like to congratulate Dwyane Wade on this honor and Michael Jordan on his brand’s success. At the end of last month, we encountered what seemed to be a cellular phone picture taken of what is reportedly the Air Jordan 2010. Many of you had much more to say about/hope for the pair of Air Jordan II’s spotted in the background of that image and reportedly a part of a 2010 Slam Dunk pack that could also be including a pair of white/cement grey III’s . That could’ve been because of fans’ yearning for another retro AJ II release or because of the quality of the picture. Regardless, there has now surfaced a clearer and FULL preview of the Air Jordan 2010 expected to release next year- as its name suggests. Any new thoughts on these?

Albeit there is no catalog scan this time, there are a few notables releasing in June of 2010. Being these as two of my all time favorites I can not wait, and can not wait to bring you, the readers sample shots and catalog scans. But be on the lookout for the Air Jordan White Infrared VI (6), however, like the 2010 Air Jordan Black Infrared VI (6), the colorway reads White/Varsity Red-Black and is labeled the “Bulls” from the VI package. Also be on the look out for Air Jordan IX in White/Black-University Blue. Lastly, the Air Jordan 2010 is set to make its debut in a Black/Flint Grey-Varsity Red colorway. Here’s a first look at Jordan Brand’s Spring ‘10 retro of the Air Jordan VI (6) in white with black accents. The shoe pairs a premium leather upper with a translucent outsole. The shoe’s guiding light, however, is its speckled black/white midsole that’s perfect for coolin’ out in Summer 2010.
