Before the close of 2009, we brought you a look at the University of North Carolina Air Jordan 16.5 Player Exclusive, which was generally well-liked by our readers. Now we’d like to show you the “College Blue” Air Jordan 16.5 that actually is predominantly white and black. But the nice, bright college blue is seen in places such as along the sole and at the end of the toe cap. Furthermore, this Air Jordan 16.5 will be accompanied by a briefcase, but don’t fret- these won’t be retailing for $200, as did the OG Air Jordan VIIs. These will be retailing for $150. We recently showcased the Jordan Brand Oak Hill Player Exclusives, and we now have a first look at four Air Jordan styles specifically designed for St. Patrick’s High School, a Jordan Brand sponsored institute. The four sneakers are the Air Jordan 16.5, Air Jordan Icons, Air Jordan Ol’School III, and Air Jordan Hallowed Ground. The Jordan 16.5 and Jordan Hallowed Ground host white uppers with green and yellow accents, while the Jordan Icons and Jordan Ol’School III feature a black base with similar green and yellow accents. Unfortunately, all four sneakers are currently only available to St. Patrick’s High School’s basketball team.

To deck out the Georgetown Hoyas in appropriate style, as they suit up in black uniforms for the first time since 2005, Jordan Brand has given the team an exclusive colorway of the Air Jordan 16.5. The Hoyas Team Player Exclusive Air Jordan 16.5 follows the same idea as the UNC PE 16.5, with the school logo stitched on the tongue, and another logo at the heel. This white/black/blue colorway is perfect for the school’s black uniform, which they will be rocking in their John Wooden Classic game against University of Washington.

The Air Jordan 16.5 is already considered by many Jordan fans and SneakerFiles followers to be among the best- if not THE best- Air Jordan “.5″ hybrid model ever. With NBA superstars such as Dwyane Wade rocking the black/red pair several games already, this sneaker’s popularity is quickly rising. While we’ve recently seen a pair furnished especially for the UNC basketball team, the pair we show you today seems like it would be a great fit for Georgetown’s squad. But these are not made exclusively for the Hoyas. This pair does, however, remind us of that squad because of the subtle grey (patent leather heel, toe box and tongue) and very minimal navy blue accents (on the Jumpman and shoe lace eyelets) that accompany a white leather upper. Stay tuned for word on when select Jordan retailers start releasing these to the public.

The Air Jordan 16.5 colorway we showed you in October has finally made its way into store fronts. Fitted with a White/Black/Blue colorway, the model makes use of premium materials like white leather on its upper, a patent black toe cap, and black mesh midpanel. With hits of blue on the midsole, heel tab, and outsole, the predominantly black and white model is accented with just the right amount of color. Certainly one of the nicer Team Jordans we’ve seen a while, you can take a look at some detailed pictures after the jump. Check with your local Jordan retailers to see if your area is stocking them yet.

College hoops is upon us, and Jordan Brand fitted the defending NCAA champs, the UNC Tarheels, with their own Team Player Exclusive Air Jordan 16.5s. The 16.5 sports the home colorway of the team: white and carolina blue, with the UNC logo stitched at the tongue. These babies are built for top performance and style to have MJ’s alma mater do him justice for the 2010 season.

Made especially for Joe Johnson and Mike Bibby of the Atlanta Hawks, Jordan Brand has prepared a special team version of the Air Jordan 16.5 for their Thanksgiving Day showdown against the Orlando Magic. Although the shoes couldn’t provide a win against the top seeded Magic, the contrasting Blue and Red colorways certain made for a pretty Holiday sneaker spotting. No word on whether or not the colorways will hit retailers anytime soon, but it looks like a round of team releases might breathe some much needed new life into the AJ16.5.
