Michael Jordan ‘motivizer’ and champion of 80’s fashion, Leroy Smith, is set to have a very special version of the Air Jordan I Retro released in his honor later this month. Previewed back in September, we now have some more detailed images of the colorful retro driven model. Featuring a Black, Purple Pinstripe, Gold, and Red upper, the model sits atop a gum outsole and replaces the AJ tongue tag logo with a sweet triangle embellishment. Rumors had been floating around for months that a retro version of the legendary Air Jordan 1 KO model might be making it way into stores sometime next year. Although suspicions were confirmed with the Jordan Brand 2010 catalogue leak, the news finally has some visual support, as images of two retro colorways of the sneaker have hit the net. Known for its rarity and canvas upper, the AJKO has become something of legend amongst Jordan fans — many of whom will jump at the chance to get their hands on a pair of the previously unobtainable kicks. Said to release next summer, the model is expected to sport a price tag of $125.

Previewed at the start of July, the latest metallic OG colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High has finally hit the European market. Including the two AJ1 models from the “Do The Right Thing Pack“, we’ve had the opportunity to acquire quite a few important versions of the revolutionary 1985 model this year — although this most recent addition might cost a bit more than the locally available Red and Green DTRT colorways. An international exclusive, you’ll have to deal with all the mess of shipping costs and battling the strength of the Euro, but in the end, I can’t argue that the purchase of such a monumental colorway could be a regrettable one.
