Continuing with Nike’s latest obsession with the color black, Nike is set to release three new models with a full black colorway. Lately, we have seen the Nike Sportswear Lunar Racer – Black Collection and the Nike Sportswear Blackout Collection which both feature sneakers fully coated in black. These three pairs of black sneakers include the Nike Blazer High, the Nike Dunk High, and the Nike Air Force 1 Low. The Nike Blazer High is decked out in black from head to toe. The Nike Dunk High features a black upper, but also includes a clear sole and red accents. The last model of this installment, the Nike Air Force 1 Low, also yields a black upper, but a little color is added to this pair through the use of a gum sole. There is no word on an exact release date yet, but you can buy your pair today at A.R.C. in New York.

It may not be the latest Nike 1World model, but this Sportswear women’s Air Force 1 is sure to please offering a simple colorway with some definition. This Air Force 1 is made up of a red and white theme with red making up the sneaker except for the white swoosh, sole, and inner lining. Textured panels are also found on this sneaker and appear on the front, lacing are and heel of the Air Force 1. The back story behind this Air Force 1 is still a mystery, but it could be expected to be designed for the February holiday of Valentine’s Day. For the thirteenth sneaker in the Nike 1World Collection, Clot is chosen to design the most recent Air Force 1 creation from the growing series. Clot’s main inspiration derives from the upcoming Chinese New Year and “pays tribute to the themes of luck, happiness and prosperity — as represented by the color red — which prevail during traditional Chinese Lunar New Year celebrations.” The sneakers are constructed from Clot Royale Deluxe Silk with embroidered Clot graphics. Furthermore, the sockliner is modeled after traditional green and white paper.  However, the most interesting feature may be the customization factor. When the red upper is peeled, burned or torn off , it reveals a layer of dark brown leather. This feature was incorporated to inspire people to “search what lies within.” Lastly, the Clot x Nike 1World Air Force 1 will be packaged in a special Chinese Candy Box keeping the tradition alive in their release. Nike has kept its Air Force 1 line at the top of the shoe game by releasing unique new colorways to keep the look fresh. This release provides a new colorway for fans of the Air Force 1 and a good transition to lead into a whole plethora of Nike releases to come in 2009. With a slightly dark array of colors, this pair is different from what we have seen lately in terms of Air Force 1 releases. November 21st, Nike announces the Air Force 1 Black Friday by DJ Clark Kent. November 29th, the Air Force 1 Black Friday by DJ Clark Kent releases at Nike Sportswear NY, Concepts and Shoe Gallery. Tomorrow December 20th, the Black Friday edition sneaker will be available at other Nike retailers including Undefeated. For this special make-up of the Air Force 1, DJ Clark Kent implemented a variety of key details that made this AF1 his creation, and his creation alone. More specifically, the DJ reworked the Swoosh’s antiquated classic and incorporated pony hair, a silver swoosh, and color-changing heel panel–perhaps not your standard creation, but the sum is greater than its parts.

Just in case you missed out on the Black Friday edition of the Nike Air Force 1 by DJ Clark Kent, it will be releasing on December 20th at Undefeated. This Air Force 1 is uniquely designed with pony hair on the front,  toe box, lacing area and mid-section. Other highlights include silver on the swoosh, back heel and a glossy mid-sole that changes color in the light. Every year brings new surprises to the sneaker game including new technology, colorways, and models. It seems as though in 2009, Nike will be highly concentrating their efforts toward reinventing the classic Nike Air Force 1 (One) model with new colorways and technology. We have seen numerous previews of colorways set to release in ‘09 and they have all seemed to be highly accepted by sneakerheads worldwide. This colorway of the Nike Air Force 1 set to release in 2009 yields a clean and simple colorway of black and gray. Though it may look like a simple leather AF1 at first look, this pair features an elephant print embossed gray toebox which is better noticed under fully-lighted conditions.
