Spotted just a few days on the feet of hip-hop artist Wale in an ad for LRG from the latest Dime Magazine, the Eggplant Air Foamposite are previewed in detail. As seen in the pictures, these Air Foamposites feature the controversial translucent sole to accompany the classic color combination of black and varsity purple that has come to be known as “Eggplant”. There is still no exact release date yet, but February 2009 is when these will be hitting store shelves. Via NT.

As Nike looks to bring back classics like the Air Penny III (3) seen earlier today, they also look to fuse popular styles together, including the Air Foamdome, a combination of the Air Foamposite and Air Max Goadome. The mixture yields a heavy duty boot like sneaker, taking its aesthetics from the Goadome, but hints of the Air Foamposite appear throughout the sneaker as well.
