Although Dwight Howard has held the title of the NBA’s resident Superman for sometime now, we’ve yet to see his nickname represented in his league footwear (although the Kryptonates kind of count as some sort of reverse shout out). But fear not, for the absent Red/Blue/Yellow color scheme of the Man of Steel will finally make its way into Dwight’s game wardrobe with the debut of this special ‘Magic Beast’ adidas TS Supernatural Commander colorway. Featuring a Red/Blue midsole, Red suede collar, Yellow straps, and a star-speckled upper (a reference to Superman’s alien status), the model sure is unique… and yet strangely reminiscent of the atmos x Ex-O-Fit High Reebok model from this Summer. At any rate, Dwight will be wearing the shoes on Christmas Day as the Magic take on the Boston Celtics, so make sure you tune in to really get a good look.

We recently showed you an adidas Forum mid-top that’s part of the adidas Five Two-3 “City Artist” series and is used to represent the capital of the world: New York City. Perhaps adidas will continue to try its luck with the Forum silhouette, as it seems poised to drop the two pairs pictured here next. One pair comes with a teal blue nubuck upper with tan leather collar accent and white sole. The second pair sports a black nubuck upper with the same tan and white accents. While the black pair has hit at least one adidas retailers already, the teal blue pair is not far behind. In September we brought you a look at a pair of the adidas TS Commander LT that pays homage to “The Man Child,” Dwight Howard. We recently came across pictures taken of a TS Commander LT PE belonging to another famous big man under contract with adidas- Tim Duncan. This particular Commander sports the skeletal touches that the adidas crew helped design in commemoration of Halloween. Certain adidas NBA ballers like Tim Duncan have taken a particular liking to this theme, and, thus, have been wearing them with more regularity. This Halloween PE comes with a white skeletal foot design that runs throughout the entire upper and can also be seen on the bottom of the sole through the transluscent “ice” bottoms. Detailing specific to the greatest power forward ever to play in the NBA comes by way of his jersey number and signature on the heel. Enjoy more pictures after the jump.

Star Wars and adidas Originals have teamed up yet again to produce an extremely comprehensive 2010 sneaker and apparel collection. Unlike most collaborations of this type, these models go way beyond simple changes in color or material, the silhouettes having been embossed, detailed, and accented in just about every way imaginable. The broad collection include models inspired by Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Storm Troopers, TIE Fighters, and X-Wings, to name a few. The collaboration effort is expected to release in two parts, the first early next year, and the second in time for the Fall/Winter season. In the meantime, Star Wars fans and sneakerheads alike won’t want to miss out on taking a peek at the collection after the jump.

Recently, we’ve seen a number of adidas releases that aim to help those athletes who play what the brand knows best- basketball. But basketball shoes like the Court Raider mid are not the only thing the adidas brand is trying to be about. If you recall, towards the end of September we showed you a black and green low-top pair of the adidas Culver Vulc, which is a silhouette especially designed to help equip skateboarders for their daily street trials. Later this week, a mid-top pair of the adidas Culver Vulc in a brick/black/mahogany colorway is set to release from participating adidas retailers, such as Foot Locker, nationwide. The shoes come with a padded tongue and collar, vulcanized sole, herringbone-patterned outsole, and a suede upper that consits of the famous three adidas stripes in black leather. In October we showed you a Boston Celtics-inspired design implemented on one of the more known adidas silhouettes: the Samba. Now that the NBA season is in full effect, adidas is looking for other ways to keep our attention. This time around the brand does so by once again using the famous Samba silhouette and applying a simple, yet attractive, “aluminum” grey colorway to the suede/leather upper. The patented adidas Trefoil logo customarily sits near the top of the tongue and on a blue patch, while the reverse color scheme is found on the heel. Additionally, the adidas stripes, shoe laces, and (rubber) sole come in completely white. This pair of the adidas Samba is available now from select adidas retailers.

Last month we brought you a look at a pair of the adidas Stan Smith silhouette that caught the attention of many of our fans because of the fact that they commemorate Ghostface Killah and his career. Now, a recent set of two pairs of the adidas Stan Smith released from the adidas Originals OT Tech line. One pair of the Stan Smith comes in a black suede upper with white sole and a patch of yellow patent leather on the heel tab. The second pair comes in a red suede upper, also with white sole, and a patch of black patent leather on the heel tab. Both pairs also come with dotted shoe laces and subtle hints of 3M material. A select few adidas Originals retailers have begun to sell these pairs of the Stan Smith, so check-in with your local retailer now for a chance to purchase one or both pairs.
