Leaders 1354 and NT’s Regular Ol’ Ty brings us images of the classic sneaker in a light grey upper in hints of leather and premium suede. Along with maroon accenting and leather tabs, this refreshed look of the classic gives some of us something to look forward to this winter.

Last year the ZX8000 sneaker model from adidas continued to release in a flurry of colorways, including those that commemorated the Boston Marathon. This year the adidas Originals ZX8000 does not seem to show any signs of slowing down. The pair pictured here sports a grey and very light purple colorway, while both suede and patent leather are used on the upper. In fact, while a darker, shinier grey is seen where patent leather is used, a lighter shade of grey is seen on the grained suede areas. This colorway of the adidas staple is finished off with a purple/grey midsole and black outsole. Keep your eyes peeled for this release at select adidas Originals accounts if you like what you see, which you can see more of after the jump.

This past spring, the adidas team released a pair of ZX8000 to commemorate the Boston Marathon. Now, the adidas squad is prepping for another release of the ZX8000 model but with an original colorway: sky blue-navy blue/yellow. While this pair’s colorway may seem as a sort of inverse of the Boston Marathon pair, the pair we’re previewing for you now actually dons the same colorway the adidas ZX8000 came out in for the first time. However, the only catch is that these will release first in Berlin and then across Europe for a Spring 2010 campaign, with no signs of a stateside release. Therefore, you most likely will have to take a trip overseas or find an online retailer to provide you with these as soon as they can because, again, these will be extremely limited. Which of the two pairs of adidas ZX8000 discussed here do you think looks better?
