With over 60 years of history behind the adidas Samba, the iconic soccer shoe has stood the test of time selling more than 35 million pairs worldwide.

With their latest venture, adidas’ Samba transitions onto a field not foreseen when it had first made its debut years ago. The Samba Golf shoe embarks the same emphasis on quality performance footwear with exact specifications added for the green.

Seeing its first retail outing in March 2012, the Samba will be one shoe seen across multiple sports keeping the Three Stripes near the top of performance footwear.

adidas has become pretty well known in the classic department, with releases like the adidas Originals x Bathing Ape Superstar 80′s that we previewed not too long ago. But today, adidas has another sneaker that dropped to appeal to a different kind of adidas fan, the Futbol mogul. Available at adidas shops all over the world is the adidas Samba in a clean Black/Fairway/Scarlet colorway. The sneaker is a primarily black base, with mixing colors Fairway Green, Scarlet Red and white stripes Mexico or ‘Gucci’ type colorway (whichever way you wanna look at it). The Adidas Originals Samba is a classic amongst older sneaker heads, and still makes its presence known today. A new colorway has hit the scene, featuring Fresh, Lemon and White. The fresh lemon is placed on the uppers, while the white runs through the midsole, sole and laces. Available now at Adidas retailers for $70.00.

Almost resembling Cheez’s Five Two-3 Adidas Samba, the latest colorway to release for the Adidas Samba has made its way to retailers worldwide. Nicknamed the Chicago Bulls edition, this black/red pair of Adidas Sambas sports a black suede upper with red leather stripes, adding gold print to the “Samba” logo to keep this classic shoes fresh. These slim shoes that were released as soccer shoes are a hit in the casual section, especially in this clean bred colorway. You can get a pair of these Sambas for $115 online overseas, but it’d be a good idea to check out your local Adidas retailer for a better buy.

If you’ve kept up with the adidas moves over the past couple of months, then you know that a part of the brand’s Five-Two 3 campaign are five different adidas silhouettes representing four different major cities around the world and making up the “City Artist” portion of this collection. For the latest revealed part of the Five-Two 3 series we see that the adidas Samba was worked on by three different Japanese brands. The Cheez x adidas Samba comes in brown and red, the Kalavinka x adidas Samba comes in mostly white with blue adidas stripes, and the Yoppi x adidas Samba sports several shades of blue with what appears to be dark grey on the shoe laces area and adidas stripes. In October we showed you a Boston Celtics-inspired design implemented on one of the more known adidas silhouettes: the Samba. Now that the NBA season is in full effect, adidas is looking for other ways to keep our attention. This time around the brand does so by once again using the famous Samba silhouette and applying a simple, yet attractive, “aluminum” grey colorway to the suede/leather upper. The patented adidas Trefoil logo customarily sits near the top of the tongue and on a blue patch, while the reverse color scheme is found on the heel. Additionally, the adidas stripes, shoe laces, and (rubber) sole come in completely white. This pair of the adidas Samba is available now from select adidas retailers.

YOPPI, lead man of Mad Hectic, has teamed up with adidas Originals for the latest addition to their Five-Two 3 campaign. Consisting of a t-shirt and matching Adidas Samba colorway, the collection draws inspiration from Tokyo culture.
