First Lady Michelle Obama loves her Lanvin Cap Toe sneakers! She’s been spotted twice rockin’ these designer sneaks and caught some slack for being seen in such a pricey shoe. These casual yet chic sneakers have been all over the media after the First Lady was photographed in them. The green leather sneaker has a metallic green/patent cap toe, grey grosgrain ribbon laces and a rubber sole; the grey trim simply sets these shoes off. Design style is classic, while the colors make the sneaker really stand out. The Cap Toe sneakers are a fashion-savvy girl’s dream. They can be worn to the office or running errands on the weekend. Debuting way, way back in 1989, the New Balance 577 has aged well. Really well. (Not better than Moid Khan’s mom, however.) The technical runner turned casual shoe recently celebrated its 20th Anniversary with two new colorways. Specifically, a navy blue/grey/white and grey/grey/white will release. The limited edition kicks feature premium suede uppers and mesh accents. Comfort is brought about via New Balance’s patented Encap technology. The New Balance 577 20th Anniversary pack will hit NB accounts worldwide in the coming weeks.

Most of they hype around the Nike Zoom Lebron VI has lately been focused on recent pictures of the Los Angeles colorway of the ZLVI, and the Miami colorway has not been given much attention. Now, we are hearing that the Miami colorway shown above will be released in extremely limited quantities tomorrow, December 31, 2008. The Nike Lebron Line is ending the year with a bang and is set to only release 23 pairs of this sneaker. Featuring a white upper accented by black patent leather on the front and orange and turquoise seen around the rest of the sneaker, this colorway is a little lighter and more subtle than some of the more popular colorways of the Nike Zoom Lebron VI. As previously mentioned only 23 pairs of this sneaker will be available tomorrow, December 31, 2008, at the Niketown in Miami, Florida for a retail price of $160. Via The305.

A good number of people came through Wrigleyville a few weeks ago for the 3rd Dunkxchange in Chicago. The mic was held down by PHLI’s Dave Jeff and the wheels were spun by DJ Sage, aka Carlos Hernandez.

As the inventory and number of vendors grew from the previous shows, there were better deals throughout the show. For those of you who missed out, don’t be hesitant to contact the stores or Myspaces with questions about a certain pair of sneakers you may have slept on!

At one point at the DXC, a certain gentleman was caught with fakes and was humiliated. He was brought to the stage where he sacrificed his Fake VII’s for a pair of SB’s provided by Uprise.
