A Bathing Ape recently prepared a set of two pairs of the Bapesta in crocodile leather. But a more recent Bape release included a set of checkered accessories. And now, we’re here to bring you a look at the three corresponding pairs of the Bapesta “Check.” All three come with a predominantly white base. What differs from each pair is the color of the checkered Bape logo that runs through the midpanels: brown, black, and green. These are available now at select Bape retailers.

At the end of last month we dropped a Bape bomb by previewing a black patent leather “Black Tiger” Bapesta. That shoe was deemed by many to perhaps be a revitalizing tool for the brand. Now, the brand continues to play around with materials and monotone colorways by having just released two more Bapestas. One pair is white/white, while the second is black/black. However, both sport crocodile leather uppers that can’t help but draw attention. Last we heard from A Bathing Ape they were revving up for the release of another URSUS, this time in a low-top cut. Now, A Bathing Ape is welcoming the Fall 2009 season with “Ostrich” leather detailing on their classic Bapesta’s. Releasing in brown/black/white, red/baby blue/white, and all-white colorways, these Bapesta’s can now be scooped up at participating Bape retailers nation- and worldwide. By now, our loyal fans must have peeped the Bapesta Tiger Exclusives. But try this new experiment from A Bathing Ape on for size. The Five Sta shoes in this post retain the iconic A Bathing Ape star logo/design but everything from the upper to the sole borrows cues from a more athletic silhouette- namely the one New Balance has become famously known for. Made of both suede and mesh materials, we know of at least three colorways dropping: black/grey/white, multi-tonal brown/white, and white/grey. I would say this sneaker does a heck of a job at mixing “the best of both worlds-” the Bape style and an aesthetic geared towards running/training. But what do you guys think? Japanese brand A Bathing Ape has just released its Roadsta Foil pack in five different colorways. Reminiscent of their Pharrell Roadstas, these Roadstas come in metallic red, bronze, blue, pink, and purple, with each shoe completed with a white midsole, accents, liner, and laces. In celebration of these warm summer months, Bape has released a collection of three picnic check print inspired Bapestas. Featuring colorways in Red, Blue, and Black, the two-tone model uses a smaller print to distinguish the midpanel from the rest of the rather flashy shoe — a wonderfully understated finishing touch. A Bathing Ape is bathing itself in a pool of Ghostbusters collaborations. To keep it going strong, Bape has released even more articles of clothing and miscellanea. Two new colorways of the Bape Bapesta has released: in white/red and red/white. Of course, the shoes come in patent leather material with white midsoles and the Ghostbuster logo on the side heel panel. The collection also includes a limited edition tee, raglan, and mugs! These are releasing this Saturday, July 18, at all Bape stores, as well as online, so get in line for this release because it’ll disappear as fast as the ghosts did!
