Prospective designers receive the opportunity to freak the Boston, Massachusetts brand’s classic 576 and 1700 models. The contest deadline in Wednesday, June 10. After speculation and anticipation, these New Balance 576s will be releasing early next year. Made up of a combination of canvas and suede, the Vandal-esque style hitting the 576 attracts while the reflective “N” logo is an added bonus. The 576 is available in two styles purple/silver and beige/silver. The purple version is made up of mostly purple with a silver logo and accents. The second style follows a similar pattern but features a beige upper. Look for these to release sometime next year. Via CT.

Upper-end Japanese boutique Atmos recently consorted with New Balance to fabricate a limited run of the brand’s technical running classic, the 576. The shoe is characterized by a compelling, iridescent silver upper, but also features an alluring elephant print out back, a speckled midsole, and a multicolored rainbow inner lining and sockliner. For U.S. heads, the “Hologram” 576 will be available at Atmos.co.jp on Tuesday, October 21. Via Atmos.

New Balance and  Offspring team up once again to offer the Masters of the Universe Pack, a duo of their popular 576. The two sneakers have been modeled after one of the classic cartoon, Masters of the Universe which saw He-Man battle against his enemy, Skeletor. As for the make-up of the 576′s, soft suede combines with a smooth color palette. You can get both now at the Offspring online shop.

New Balance joins the Olympic festivities with the release of the Limited Edition Gold and Silver Medal version of their 576. Featured in all gold and silver bases, these 576′s are set off with a 3M “N” logo which really makes this 576 go from low profile to turning heads.
