Only a few days a go, we saw detailed pictures of this colorway of the Air Jordan 2.5 which is set to release tomorrow, January, 3, 2009. This colorway is one of three colorways which are all set to release to on the 3rd day of this new year. The Air Jordan 2.5 takes key components from both the Air Jordan 2 (II) and the Air Jordan 3 (III). Though the basic shape of the sneaker resembles that of the AJ2 due to the higher ankle cut, the AJ3 is represented well through the use of the classic cement print most known for its appearance on the Air Jordan 3 (III) Retro White / Cement Grey – Fire Red. Aside from the cement print, this sneaker features a white upper with varsity red and black accents and a grey outsole. As previously mentioned, the Air Jordan 2.5 – White/Varsity Red-Cement-Black will be available on 01/03/09 for a retail price of $130.

The third and final colorway of the Air Jordan 2.5 which is set to release tomorrow is extremely similar to the Stealth/Varsity Maize-Graphite-Black colorway. Featuring a very limited amount of notable differences between this pair and the other grey based colorway, one is only left to ponder why Jordan Brand would release too such similar color schemes on the same day. Whatever the case may be, this colorway of the Air Jordan 2.5 yields a stealth upper accented by a black midsole and black inner lining. The aforementioned notable difference that seperates this pair from the other is the color of the accents. This colorway features university blue accents in the form of the stitching, the lace holes, and the popular Jordan Wings logo on the heel. This colorway, along with the other two, will be available tomorrow, January 3, 2009, for a retail price of $130.

Ray Allen is one of the luckiest athletes in the NBA due to the fact that he is sponsored by Jordan Brand and never has to worry about not looking fresh on the courts. We have seen him in multiple Air Jordan player exclusives including the Air Jordan 11 (XI)  - Ray Allen PE and the Air Jordan 23 (XX3) – Ray Allen PE. This time, Ray Allen has a player exclusive colorway of the Air Jordan 2.5 which features the typical Boston Celtics’ white/green color scheme. Yielding a white upper, a celtics’ green midsole, the words “Sugar Ray” on the ankle, and the infamous Air Jordan 3 (III) cement print, this pair definitely belongs in every player exclusive collector’s arsenal. Jordan Brand will continue their legacy of hybridizing two sneakers within the brand to form a new pair utilizing the best of both models in the upcoming year. In the model shown above, the Air Jordan 2 (II) and the Air Jordan 3 (III) are combined; thus, the sneaker is named the Air Jordan 2.5 Team. This sneaker seems to be focused toward providing an excellent basketball experience to players of all ages and skill levels. The Air Jordan 2.5 Team is currently available in some colorways and will be released in seven more colorways in the upcoming year. Four of these upcoming colorways are very similar and the only noticeable difference between each of them is the accent color. Three colorways will release on January 3, 2009 and the remaining four will be released on February 1, 2009. All colorways will retail for $130.
