Nike’s 1World initiative pairs up some of the Swoosh’s hottest silhouettes with unlikely artists from the sports world. Manchester United middlefielder Rio Ferdinand put together a premium version of the Air Force One (1) that celebrates his love of football. The lowtop features gold heel accents that read “5″ and “V” and a corresponding “gold foil” check. Down below, Ferdinand’s creation is highlighted by a translucent midsole and outsole. Leading up to its release on January 16th, the CLOT x Nike 1World Air Force 1 is revisited once again for an even more detailed look exploring the features of the sneaker. The new set of images reveal a green grid pattern on the insole along with the different sets of laces included inside the “Chinese Candy Box” packaging. Furthermore, the CLOT x Nike 1World Air Force 1 also consists of a customization feature where the upper layer can be peeled, burned, torn to reveal dark brown underneath as mentioned before. Release is scheduled for January 16th, 2009 only at JUICE (Hong Kong) or ACU (China). Following up the preview of the CLOT x Nike 1World Air Force 1 seen days ago are new images of the sneakers including the special box. The sneakers pay tribute to the themes of luck, happiness and prosperity, represented by the color red found on the upper. Furthermore, the main highlight of the sneaker is the customization factor which lets the buyer peel, burn or tear off the upper to reveal the the dark brown layer underneath. For the thirteenth sneaker in the Nike 1World Collection, Clot is chosen to design the most recent Air Force 1 creation from the growing series. Clot’s main inspiration derives from the upcoming Chinese New Year and “pays tribute to the themes of luck, happiness and prosperity — as represented by the color red — which prevail during traditional Chinese Lunar New Year celebrations.” The sneakers are constructed from Clot Royale Deluxe Silk with embroidered Clot graphics. Furthermore, the sockliner is modeled after traditional green and white paper.  However, the most interesting feature may be the customization factor. When the red upper is peeled, burned or torn off , it reveals a layer of dark brown leather. This feature was incorporated to inspire people to “search what lies within.” Lastly, the Clot x Nike 1World Air Force 1 will be packaged in a special Chinese Candy Box keeping the tradition alive in their release. The Marok x Nike 1World Air Force 1 flew below the radar and made its way into select retailers this past weekend. Nort Berlin is one of the first to report its availability online. They are now taking reservation orders on the Air Force 1 which employs German artist Thoma Marecki aka Marok to work on the campaign. A composition of canvas and a mixture of other materials distinguish this style from the rest of the unique styles. Other interesting features include a visible air sole unit and gum colored sole. When Michael Lau was commissioned by Nike to design a pair of Air Force 1s as apart of the Nike1World campaign, he came up with a model he nicknamed “Crazy“, getting its inspiration from mental asylums. This unique concept has a few components that tie into the “Crazy” theme including the quilted pattern that makes up the upper along with tally marks at the heel of the sneaker. Other markings have been added to the tongue and on the inside of the sneaker. Kix-Files has one size available for $680.

We have shown you a teaser picture and an actual picture of the Nike Air “Crazy” Force 1 designed by infamous toy designer, Michael Lau, and now we are proud to show you some detailed pictures of this amazingly unique pair of Nike Air Force One Lows. As part of their 1World project, Nike will be releasing 18 pairs of Air Force 1 Lows over the course of two years. For the ninth pair of this series, Nike is teaming up with Michale Lau, a famous vinyl toy designer that resides in Hong Kong.

Lau has put his own touch on these Air Force One Low’s by including his favorite number, 10190330, on the tongue and using a white leather upper with white quilt-patterned stitching to give this sneaker a very classy and sleek look. To contrast this cleanliness, this pair features 5 five count scrawls on the side of the sneaker in order to commemorate the 25th anniversary Nike Air Force 1’s. This pair of Air Force 1′s comes with one of Michael Lau’s signature vinyl toys specially made for this release and a stylish white box which features the same quilted pattern as the sneaker. This pair is now being showcased at MICHAEL GALLERY, an art exhibition in Honk Kong. Via Kix-Files
