Last month, the 10th Annual Jim Calhoun Charity All-Star Basketball Game was held in the Mohegan Sun Arena Former. The star studded event included past and present UConn players including Travis Knight, Ray Allen, Emeka Okafor, Ben Gordon, Rip Hamilton, Caron Butler, Kevin Ollie, Donyell Marshall, Khalid El-Amin, Doron Sheffer, Ricky Moore, Charlie Villanueva, and Rudy Gay. The charity game was founded by Jim Calhoun to benefit the UConn Foundation, Inc.’s Jim and Pat Calhoun Cardiology Research Endowment Fund for the UConn Health Center.

DJ Clark Kent spins records at Nike events worldwide. Over the summer, Nike dropped three pairs of shoes which Clark designed. Aside from being paid by Nike, Clark gets hooked up with some of the hottest pairs Nike has ever made, including rare samples and 1-offs. The Nike Hyperdunk has emerged as a prime choice for NBA athletes, as many have been photographed wearing the popular basketball sneakers. Phoenix Suns’ All-Star, Amare Stoudamire is the latest athlete to receive a Player Exclusive Hyperdunk. The model pictured above has Stoudemire’s number on the tongue and is in contrast to the Suns home colors; White, purple and orange. No word yet regarding a general store release. Via Niketalk.

From one Nike Blazer to another, we get a look at yet another high-cut Blazer which has just dropped at Finishline. The latest NYX Blazer High features a simple color-way, opposed to the earlier previewed Cement Print Blazer High. A combination of dark cinder, black and yellow ochre makes up the leather upper, while a gum-like sole adds a nice finishing touch.

The Nike SB October releases were presented just a few days ago, but we are slowly approaching the holiday season which will see the release of this Blazer Low SB. Made up of a simple combination of boulder and white which consists of soft suede. Over the past few seasons, it appears Nike SB has toned down their color-ways, this is a prime example of this idea. We’ve seen several posts on the upcoming Nike Dunk High Vandal Premium pack, but we get a more detailed look with the latest batch of photos.  The Dunk High Vandal will be presented in three different color-ways, but we get a look at two, silver/red and black/gold. Each consists of the traditional Vandal material, a nylon upper, leather swoosh and Vandal Nike tag on the tongue. Definitely, a smooth transition from one classic sneaker to another.
