American brand KangaROOS (that’s right, folks; American!), the company made famous during the 80’s for their unique and stylish sneakers, has teamed up with Berlin sneaker shop Overkill for the Overkill x KangaROOS Coil R1 “Abyss”, an aquatic-themed take on a classic runner. After seeing their dope collaborations with Patta (like the Patta x KangaROOS PxK K2), it’s obvious that KangaROOS knows how to produce dope collaborations, and this shoe doesn’t disappoint.
Featuring a deep blue nubuck upper accented by bright blue (most notably on the terry cloth logo found on the side of the shoe), these shoes are definitely a looker, and one that will be sure to sell out quickly, as only 200 pairs will be available for sale. The shoes come with two sets of laces, as well as a special pin to commemorate the collaboration. They are set for release on August 24th at Overkill, so definitely mark your calendar now if you plan on grabbing a pair.
