With the multitude of light-weight runners and outdoor footwear available today, it’s difficult to find a shoe which includes aspects from both these specific categories. Enter the Onitsuka Tiger Colorado ’85. With a familiar silhouette to past releases from the Japanese brand, the trail-ready 5/8ths cut shape is still as engaging now as it was nearly thirty years ago. The retro design has had a slight helping hand from its older cousins in the form of the rubberised heel support from the Ultimate ’81 and frontal rubber sole on loan from the California ’78.
It still holds its ground though. The Colorado was originally designed with the rugged outdoors in mind, proven with the mix of long-cut suede and breathable nylon. Coupled with the asymmetric hybrid-styled outsole and seasonal colourways, this release is one of our picks of the season.
The size? UK exclusive Onitsuka Tiger Colorado ’85 will be available tomorrow online and in all size? stores, priced at £60.
